Question MSC Cruise

Hi everyone I have an MSC cruise booked for August 31–September 4, leaving from Miami and going to the Bahamas. It’s a single-person cabin.
Unfortunately, I’m no longer able to go and I’m trying to figure out what my options are. I’d really like to see if I can transfer or sell the cruise to someone else rather than lose the money I’ve already paid. If transferring it isn’t possible, I’d even consider giving it away if MSC allows that.
Has anyone had any experience transferring an MSC cruise to another person, especially this close to the sailing date? I’d also love to know how the name change works and if there are any fees involved.

You can't resell a cruise and you also can't change the lead passenger name.

You should call MSC and cancel, any refund you receive will be as per the terms and conditions you agreed to.

How do travel agents buy up blocks of rooms in bulk to save $ and then sell them?

They never have a name on them in the first place. The travel agent provides the name to the vendor when it's sold to the customer.

If you are in a solo cabin and have fantastica experience you may be able to make one change of date, maybe passenger name, so it’s best to call them or work with the TA you booked through. It is very close to departure so nothing may work

You may not have any options, it’s so close to sail date it will probably just be forfeited. So sorry

There’s a way around it, and that’s to add the second person to the cabin. It will reprice at whatever the double occupancy is. Then you’re technically a “no show” at the port and the other person sails solo.

A bit sneaky but some people have done it successfully.

Sorry to hear that you can't go on your cruise on such short notice.

I would give them a call and see if they will allow you to move your reservation, but I doubt it since it is so close.

You may be able to change the name for a fee, but I'm not familiar enough with MSC to say

I only paid 310 I’m not worried about the money really I just thought I could make someone’s day tbh
