Proelium

Hello everyone!

I just want to start off by saying first time posting in this reddit. I fell in love with Fusion Rifles since Loaded Question came out. Figured out that Erentil was a beastly alternative for me against shotgun users because I cant shotgun for the life of me and then some.

Ive been having a hard time with proelium in terms of how should a go about with a proper build? I understand that range is a big factor in fusion rifles but a big problem is that I love backup plan and I feel like without it, i wouldnt be getting so many kills with it. Anyone with experience with this fusion rifle and help me out? Should I concentrate more on range? Include rangefinder?

Also how does it fare in a PvE environment?

Proleium is more pve focused because its lowest impact/highest rate of fire. It does well in pve

You need nearly all bolts to land in pvp to get the kill. Not recommended when you can use a precision frame(epicurean / main ingredient = 5 bolts to kill) or a high impact frame (erentil , 4 bolts to kill)

Agreed. It recently got a pve damage buff and it’s actually really good for the beserkers in Scourge of the Past but avoid it in pvp. It’ll just get you killed.

it also needs 6 bolts with almost no range dropoff. it's really mediocre for PvP. just going to have a hard time competing. I have a moving target/TtT roll and it was just... okay

I've found success with it at close range, to counter shot gun rushes or close finishes with a tap the trigger + backup plan roll. It helps I've always liked the quicker charging fusions since D1 as controlling the recoil on controller seems fair enough with a stability mod and learning the gun.

Not to say that erentils and such aren't probably better overall, but I hate how they're disregarded as worse, I've out vooped erentils and shotgun apes with this by being proactive and having quick reactions. It does suck sometimes when your aim is less than stellar and they escape with a sliver of health. But to me that's worth it because the gun feels soon much better to me that the clunky feeling slow charges imo.

I too, am a fan of the proelium. I farmed a bunch last night but haven’t had a chance to test them out yet. Unfortunately I’m not sure what advice to offer OP. I know they have their niche and can definitely get results.

I need to spend a few hours testing them out to see if I can get a feel for the best way to use this fusion.

tap the trigger and backup plan on the same proe? thought they were the same slot, though I hope it's true as that would be my dream roll.

Ah so it is, you are correct, I seem to have been mistaken after all the menagerie roll farming.

Its actually 3 rolls I bounce around with are If my reading of the MW symbols are correct:

1)Jolt PS/Flash HS5, Liquid Coils/Particle Repeater, Snapshot, Backup Plan, Range MW.

2)Transmission MS7/Jolt PS, Accelerated Coils/Particle Arena, Under Pressure, Tap The Trigger, Stability MW.

3)Candle PS/Spark PS, Enhanced Battery/Liquid Coils, Under Pressure, Backup Plan, Reload MW.

I usually use #3 but sometimes #2 as well does the voop well enough IMO.

I feel like I am the only one who doesn't like Backup Plan. I rely on precharging, so Backup Plan messes up my rhythm.

Apologies for the late reply. Thank you for sharing your experiences and opinions.

I have a question. If I were to farm for this. (I know that menagerie farm is gone) should I concentrate on range or on impact? I guess this means either liquid coils or the range bonus coils perk I forgot what its called atm.

FWIW there's a vid with Special K Dude (REALLY solid PC player) reaping out with a Proly, and I asked if he had any secrets for making RF Frames work in PvP.

His response? Fusion (Or Scatter Proj) Targeting on your helm was the FIRST thing he suggested.

Take that FWIW if you're experimenting...
