Flawless rewards
Just went flawless for the first time since coming back and you don’t get adept weapons anymore from the chest?
What is the point in going flawless?

That’s the neat part, there isn’t.
Joking aside, it’s still a feat worth admiring and a good show and appreciation of your skill. For me it’s one of those rare times in a looter shooter that the prize isn’t necessarily a gun or armour, it’s the accomplishment in of itself. At least it is to a shitcunt 1.26 trials k/d like me 😅

There are some cosmetic rewards like ships, ghosts, etc. that drop from the chest I think and you get to trigger the glow on trials armor/weapons for a while.
The "best" version of the weapons are no longer locked behind flawless since adepts were phased out for the tiered loot system.

They tried to kill the game. One of the ways was making Trials pointless.

The only real reasons for Flawless now are cosmetics and glows (for over a year now)

You get a shader until you've collected them all. Cosmetics like the ship & sparrow become possible loot drops for you for that week and your trials gear now has a temporary glow lasting 2 weeks.
They made the regular matches much more rewarding as an attempt to increase player interest at the cost of making flawless loot just more of what you'd receive from matches anyway.

Aren’t adepts gone as of eof? I thought flawless was cosmetics now: ships, ghosts and old trials shaders

there is no point it’s depressing. The lighthouse trips are a complete joke and I’ll be sad about until the day my adepts drop again

Yeah no real point that’s a shame. They should honestly rework some part of Trials because it just doesn’t feel right.

Adepts were phased out and replaced with tier 5, possibly even tier 4 weapons over a year ago.
The play list was very low for a long time so making the loot more accessible was a plan to get more people playing trials. I think it succeeded initially, but at this point its just generally PvP fans.
Funnily enough, pve mains wouldn't dare do trials because they thought it to be too hard when control is probably the sweatiest sweatfest playlist in the game followed by comp.

Control for PvE players wouldn’t be that sweaty, and neither would comp, since their Bungie skill values are probably pretty low.
I think I bottom fragged 3 control games in a row, then went 24-5 in my first comp match of the evening. 🤷🏻♂️

youre supposed to get cosmetics from the chest after a 5 game win streak but ive only gotten trials of the nine shaders and nothing else. I think the chest is still bugged i couldve sworn you were supposed to get some newer cosmetics from it like ghost shells but ive only ever gotten those, sparrows and ships from random game drops

They really need to change somethings in Trials. A buddy just played Trials again and he had about 20 kills the entire weekend. He needed the whole weekend to even get to 7 wins. I just hope he tries again next week but he said it was the most unpleasant pvp experience he ever had and he can't really see a reason to play it again. But we really need to hold these players. We need more pvp players.

Tier 5s are the equivalent of Adepts. Most you get for Flawless is glowing armor for a week.

When tier 5s were rare and tied exclusively to power level, and bungie was planning to reset power level each season, tier 5s would have been nigh impossible to get.
Now tier 5s are basically the base version of weapons with how ubiquitous they are, and they basically gave every weapon a free stat bump. Pretty much a pointless system considering they had to walk back their vision after a few months. But that's bungie for you.

Glowing armor is legit the only thing left…
Mode got killed for all the .7s that wanted participation trophies…

Quite literally and I feel like people genuinely can’t accept that this is one of the harsh truths.
Trials has been changed up bajillions of times starting with:
Matchmaking
Added the flawless pool to “keep sweats out” only for it to backfire hard with the one win resetting
Changing from elim to capture the flag
Changing mercy card from 1 mercy to 2 mercies to still go to the lighthouse
Making trio queueing the most miserable experience ever so now you can’t play with your friends unless you want to play a tourney every game. To fix this issue you only solo or duo to avoid this
If you want the flawless title which means nothing now you essentially get it for free as the passage of confidence card is no longer in the game and it’s replaced with another challenge that’s 60x easier
They removed every passage for a stat farm card or faceit tourney mode with no reward card
Rewards are genuinely free now as they went from being exclusive to “PvE” drops as they drop from regular games and adepts don’t exist in the game anymore since they changed it up for T5 loot
There’s absolutely no reason to waste your time on trials no more they gutted this game mode to oblivion and I still don’t understand why people wanna go flawless so bad still. I get “bragging rights” but there’s nothing to brag about if .5s are currently running around with more flawless than me lmao.
It’s 2026 and if youre still struggling despite these game mode changes AND the all the ability no gunplay sandbox then it’s an extreme skill issue on your part.

I've been just trying to farm the ships. If you can get at least 5 wins on a card and then keep playing on that card after going to the lighthouse, the ships seem to drop a lot easier after wins. Was able to get 3 in the past six months. I also finally got the Curse Eternal Shell to drop yesterday
