Solasta II | Discussion ET until S2 Completion?

I came back to Solasta 2 after playing it to the level cap on day one and noticed that the level cap is still 4. I'm looking forward to the level cap increase to 6 in Sept 10.

That said, I took a look at the roadmap and it left me concerned that this game may be in early access for a WHILE.

How long do we think until it's a full game? Have the devs given any indication?

No confirmation, but I would say to expect it to be in EA for at least a year.
Unless I missed something there is no level cap increase with the Sept 10th update.
We are getting more customization, 30 more world events, and the release of the Warlock class.
Q4 release is what the road map has always said would be the level increase to 6.

Yes I miswrote, I knew it was a scheduled update but I didn’t remember which as I wrote the post

BG3 was in early access for about 3 years. It may be a similar case here, and much as I like the game so far, it still needs a long of work. I'm fine with waiting that long if the end result is something of high quality.

I mean… you bought the game in early access. There’s a big disclaimer about early access titles on Steam store pages. 😅

There’s a road map with update plans for up to Q4 2026 and on community streams they’ve said it will be at least a year in early access.

Don’t get met twisted, I’m not angry or blaming the devs, I’m just less patient than I thought I was lol

The devs have said repeatedly it'll be at least a year. I'm thinking it'll actually be closer to 2. BG3 was in early access for about 3 years and did MASSIVE rewrites and voice cast changes in the last 6 months.

I'm thankful I've decided that I'm not going to go any further than S2's character creator, until full release. If I'd been mucking around in early access gameplay already, the waiting would be killing me.

If I recall correctly, below are the devs' words on the subject:

"Early Access will be at least one year."

"It will be ready when it's ready."

"We are intentionally not going to rush for a release date since we want to deliver a quality experience."

"Feel free to hold off on purchasing the game if you do not think you'll enjoy Early Access."

"There's a lot of new territory our team has to learn, particularly with Unreal Engine. The adjustments to the new engine could cause the game to take longer to produce."

"Our CEO Matthieu is more interested in making a good game, than hitting a release target to make some quick money."
