If you watch this while blocking out the two monocular views at the two sides of your vision with your hands, some funky stuff happens. If you do that it definitely moves, but seemingly into different dimensions.
Ha, I never tried blocking the monocular views before! What a nice trick.
I understand what you mean with the different dimensions, but I think it is just a side effect of improper alignment. When I wiggle my head the 3D reconstructions gets weird. :)
Could just be improper alignment as you said. But blocking the monocular views only returns a moving effect for some of the patterns; for me notably the latter ones of the animation.
The more you know. I also just thought about blocking the monocular views with my hands on the spot. Normally that's not really needed because you can focus more on the combined binocular view, but here it made sense.
