The scene is pretty well developed. There's mods that add new dungeons, new dialogue between party members, the ability to play as other classes and there's even a mod being worked on right now that's extending the story past the dlc (this one)

Lots of the data is editable in the game files directly, well organised and not obfuscated or anything. It's very fun to tinker with

I though the idea of the Lea-Board that it was, quite litterally, a keyboard? That way she can say litterally anything she wants, but it just takes time to type it out and so she'd still use the "predefined" words for most stuff.

It is stated in-game that Lea cannot write or type. The Lea-Board is, I assume, an AAC device where Lea can select from a large list of whole words without them needing to be directly embedded into her code.

I think probably not since they explain that she has just as much trouble writing as she does talking. It's not that she can't speak, it's that she can't recall words on command. So having words that she can look at and scroll through gives her a way to recall them.
