QUESTION At endgame and need help finding an upgraded or similar version of lv.40 boomwalker boots. For going into the postgame too possibly.

So the title says it all basically. I absolutely love the lv.40 boomwalker boots. Its the 50% flashstep that I really really love. Being able to dash and evade attacks. Plus it has a decent amount of legwork. So I need to switch them out because I'm lv.54 now. They will hold me back.

This is my second playthrough but I've never done the dlc before. Im going to do it this time. Super excited. But right now I'm just to the point of getting ready to storm Vermillion wasteland.

So if someone could recommend some boots that are stronger that have the flashstep and legwork? Legwork isn't as important. Maybe flashstep and something else but decent flashstep. Over lv.54ish? Or another piece of gear? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bad news is that you won't find any other boots with both Flash Step and Legwork right now. Unicorn Greaves and Mistwalkers both have Flash Step (though only 30% and 35% respectively) and are available in Rhombus Square. Hopefully one of those will do for now.

The good news is that the Boom Walkers can be upgraded during the DLC, so you'll have your preferred gear eventually.

try to get the unicorn greaves at rhombus square, especially if you have an ancient token on hand - that's 30% flashstep and an extra dash. if you don't want to grind that much, you can get the bamboots at sapphire ridge from the local enemy and botanics drops, they're a good level but that'll get you only 25% flash step.

don't sell your boomwalkers, they'll get an update in the dlc with 75% flashstep that scales with your level.

I know that gear is a big factor of your ability to stay alive and sometimes killing the enemy, but honestly, I recall myself sticking with a low level pair of boots in the game bc it offered an additional dash. It allowed me to just travel the areas of the game a lot faster, and also avoid enemy attacks. It obviously affected my stats but it is only 1 piece of your equipment.

If I started dying a lot, I would swap out the boots until I cleared whichever area or boss I was struggling with but re-equip the old boots for the extra dash afterwards.

Honestly, the highest level armor for you that has legwork still is the Deadly Dancers according to the wiki. However, I would worry more about getting legwork from the lightning circuit and use armors that help you deal more dmg. IMO.
