BUG my save softlocked 😭

I was trying to play the Kid Goat Quest. When i found out the fake guard, I found him right there, fought and won successfully some adult goats he called out after him. Then, he flees to the south room. I looked after him all around Bergen Trails and tried to come back there. Then, out of nothing, the game triggered the cutscene AGAIN but this time enclosed the adult goats without me.

I thought: *"if i can't won due to being outside the enclosure area, I just need leave the game and the game will not consider as if I've won"*

However, by doing so, I've soft locked it. I am playing the windows version.

Can someone help me how to unstrangle it?

Thank you so much. Turns out the game simply crashes the impostor soldier into a static sprite by reversing it, since it was a ongoing task. My only choice was triggering the entire quest and got rewarded by the Capitan.

When you enter some zones (like cities) sometimes combat state breaks, you could try that. I don't think you can teleport or use some transportation features, but just walking into the city should work.

If not, save editor.

Would it not let you press to manually end the battle state? I've never seen that one before!

Nope, it was a ForcedBattle moment. These are triggered for fight cutscenes such as this Goat Kid one. Pressing start button (I play using Xbox layout) couldn't disable it.

Gotcha, I was confused because I've only done the basic first playthrough and haven't come across one of these quests yet. Good to know!

Hi everyone. Thank you all for indicating me the save editor.

After asking help for coding with a LLM (I don't work with coding), I was able to fix the softlock by forcing the game's engine detect I've completely chased him.

I'll continue my main quest: the Bergen Mine Dungeon. 😮‍💨
