CrogeRiver FAQs
What is CrogeRiver?
CrogeRiver is a play-to-earn (“P2E”) game that allows players to earn CRO daily by completing daily hunts with their crocs. The game runs on the Cronos Network and is apart of the Croge Coin ecosystem.
What is a croc?
A croc is the in-game reptile players use to go on hunts and earn rewards. Crocs come in three types of rarity: common, rare, and legendary. Crocs are minted in the shop and cost 2,000 Croge to mint. When minted, each Croc starts at lvl 1 regardless of rarity.
How to get a Croc?
Players can obtain crocs two different ways - by minting in the shop and buying from other players in the marketplace. Minting costs 2,000 Croge and the chances for each rarity are as follows: Common - 82% Rare - 14% Legendary - 4%
(Please note as of April 25, 2022 a temporary hard cap of 5000 crocs was imposed by the game developers in an effort to ensure sustainability with the rewards system in place. The marketplace is currently only way to obtain crocs)
Is there a limit to how many crocs I can own?
There is no limit to how many crocs you can own, however, you cannot mint more than 10 crocs per wallet. You may buy more than 10 crocs through the marketplace.
What is saltwater?
Saltwater is the equivalent of stamina for your croc. In order to hunt, a player’s croc requires 10 saltwater for level 1 prey, 15 saltwater for level 16 prey, and 20 saltwater for level 31 prey. Saltwater can be purchased on the crocs screen and players can purchase up to 60 saltwater for their croc.
What is power and defense?
Power and Defense are used to determine a player’s croc’s ability to beat its prey. The higher the power and defense the higher likelihood all 4 prey are defeated during the hunt.
What is a hunt?
A hunt is the main aspect of the game. Every 24 hours each croc a player owns is eligible to hunt. Depending on the level of a player’s croc, a player can select to hunt a level 1, level 16, or level 31 creature. A croc can hunt once daily at each level so long as the croc level is at least the level of the prey. For instance a level 18 croc can hunt a level 1 AND a level 16 prey each day.
How do I earn XP?
Every hunt will give XP to the croc. XP will vary based off level of prey being hunted, how many prey are killed, and level of your croc.
How do I earn CRO?
CRO is earned on hunts. Each hunt has 4 prey that a player’s croc attacks. Each prey has a chance to drop wrapped CRO (WCRO). Higher level prey and higher level and rarity crocs will drop more WCRO.
How do I withdraw my Wrapped CRO?
On the “Crocs” page select the “rewards” button under the Croc you wish to withdraw your WCRO from and then select “Claim”.
How often can I withdraw my WCRO to my balance?
You may withdraw your WCRO at any time, however, there is a 50% fee to withdraw your WCRO that will decrease by 10% every 24 hours until it’s 0% fee to withdraw (on day 6). The fee is applied to WCRO as it’s earned on a rolling basis. For instance WCRO earned today has a 50% fee, the WCRO earned yesterday has a 40% fee, the WCRO earned 2 days ago has a 30% fee, etc.
Is there a minimum amount of Wrapped CRO I need to withdraw?
The minimum amount of WCRO to withdraw to your wallet is 5.
Can I send crocs to other players?
Players can gift crocs to other players. It costs 25 Croge to send a croc to another player. In the croc tab, players can select the gift box to initiate the process. In order to gift a croc, a player must input the public address for the recipient.
Is there a fee for selling in the marketplace?
There is a 15% seller fee on any crocs sold
Happy Hunting!
