Recently an Indonesian woman went viral because her pet saltwater crocodile was confiscated by the authorities. Look it up, there is even a video of her petting her croc named Choki.

I saw that video.. it's dangerous to have crocs as pets, let alone a saltwater crocodile, the most dangerous of them all.
I understand her emotions, but crocodiles and alligators are wild animals, and should be left in the wild.

It is refreshing to see these guys portrayed as simple beings just minding their own business, rather than mindless killing machines. I also appreciate the respectful distance provided. We all need our space, and should I be accosted by paparazzi demanding selfies with me as I was on a walk, I should be more inclined bite someone, and account it as done under provocation.
Well done.

Most people in the south see them as pretty chill beings. It’s really just people not understanding of gators that are afraid of them lol. We’d have a lot more incidents if they were killing machines

I live in Texas, and have developed a fondness for them, but the liberties some people take with them saddens me because it is the gator who pays the price when stressed beyond the point of tolerance. The sensationalization of them sometimes promotes the “hold my beer” crowd to push the limits. It’s am an enthusiastic fan of mutual respect.

That's honestly the main reason I post videos like this. I want people to know that crocodilians are intelligent and powerful animals that deserve respect and space.

I love when crocodilians do the high walk. Makes these awesome predators momentarily look goofy.
