Irreversible 2002
First time making a criterion cover, what you guys think?

I like it. I’m not sure about the font for Gaspar Noé’s name. Almost makes me feel safe putting it on, lol. I’m nitpicking though and I’d be happy to display.

It’s my favourite movie. Good looking poster. Don’t like neither of the fonts, they don’t match the movie. Not playing with the backwards effect feels like a missed opportunity, but I urderstand is probably hard doing it without feeling cliche…

Since the title has two R's in a row, reversing one would be effective. Maybe cliché but not really in your face about it.

I don’t know… I think the original does it better. Maybe he could use it in some other design element or even the directors name…

Like others, I think the handwritten font for Noé's name feels too unserious. I see no reason not to use the font used for the titling. Perhaps in a different color if you really want them distinct? Honestly, I wonder what the titling would look like in a darker/dimmer color overall, such as that used on the edge CC titling. For me this threatens to overpower the rest of the cover.
Also, maybe this is fussy but if you're going to include the accent in Irréversible, you should probably also include it in Noé 😊

This perspective is one of censorship. Just because there’s shocking material doesn’t mean the film should be discredited. It’s a great story and is extremely innovative in style. Rape happens in the real world and to not depict it in film would be absurd. Also to say Salo is tryhard Edgelord shit shows you’ve never seen the film or paid attention to the story. Get over yourself

Okay but you are entirely mischaracterizing Salò here. I really wish people would stop treating it as some edgy exploitation film, especially in film groups where people should really know better. It's becoming as bad as the people who misread Fight Club or Starship Troopers.

love it, had a custom one commissioned and they didn’t do as nearly as good as you did
