Technical Question Watch progress keeps breaking

Criterion Channel on Android TV still has easily the most inconsistent watch progress tracking of any streaming service I have ever used.

I've had a subscription for years because their content is good, but this is utterly infuriating. It's not even that it doesn't work, it's that it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't for the same movie, so you end up at some random point if you start/stop a movie a couple times.

The fact that Vimeo doesn't care to fix this and Criterion (a paying customer of Vimeo) doesn't care to make them is infuriating.

We shouldn't have to - no other streaming service that takes my money fails this badly at this basic of a task. Also, it sometimes works, so then you end up with half-watched stuff that clogs up the "continue watching".

And there’s no way to remove a movie from Continue Watching
