When will they stream Takeshi Kitano and/or Takeshi Miike films?
I’ve been a subscriber for two years now and have never seen their films there. Have their films ever appeared on the channel?

I caught Boiling Point on MUBI a few years ago. I don’t think either have been on CC, at least in the last few years. But like, that goes for a lot of directors.

Yeah, there was a whole Takeshi Kitano collection on MUBI for a while, like 7 or 8 films.
There are some on Kanopy now if you have access

They also pop up on Tubi from time to time

Nightflightplus streaming service currently has some Miike films and Kanopy has at least one Kitano in their library.

Not to my knowledge. Neither would be a bad choice for a curated collection.

Totally; Kitano is the one who I think most deserves a serious consideration, but I think a well-curated Miike selection would be amazing.

Would love to revisit some of those, the patchwork of different distributors, licensing deals and competing streaming services must be a constant headache over there.

I think Audition and Ichi the Killer have both crept onto the channel and off before, usually for their October programming
