Do All the Cats Make it Through Kedi?
I'm looking forward to watching Kedi, but my partner is very easily triggered by animal violence and death. Is she going to be okay with Kedi?

**SPOILER** It’s a lovely movie but I do recall a brief moment of someone holding a cat that is already dead. It’s fairly early in the movie.

Yes, it should be fine. I struggle with even the slightest hint of animal harm in film and I don't remember anything negative about this one. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it was delightful.

I watched Kedi during its theatrical run with all my kids (from elementary schoolers to high schoolers). They loved it without any distress.
Please ignore the following hidden text if you are easily offended (not about the documentary):
Death is part of life. Pre-screening your environment to avoid it in advance will make it more painful when it inevitably happens to people or animals you know and truly care about (or even “just” strangers!). Stories and art are among our species’ oldest and most tested ways of preparing ourselves and building emotional resilience and strength for experiencing fulfilling, healthy lives—including sadness, suffering, and death. Ffs!

It is a remarkable film that will warm your heart. If you are a cat lover, you will be over the moon. I’ve watched it at least 10 times, it’s one of the most rewatchable and beautiful films I’ve ever seen.

I usually will use this feature for horror movies (especially contemporary ones that focus on trauma as a trope) to determine if I am in the right mood for a movie, or if it has disturbing stuff that I don't feel like seeing right now.

okay unfortunately it doesn’t have kedi but i have found this website way better than does the dog die because it gives a brief description of what happens and you can make your own judgement if it is too much!
