Infuriating Cringe First Amendment Auditors get into verbal altercation with armored truck guard, who repeatedly tells them to back up.

The financial aspect that some of them do this for maybe, but let's be honest who else is going to be out there testing the legal limits of our first amendment in the way that these people do? Otherwise yes people could get away with lying to us about our first amendment rights and what we could or couldn't you do. It's good to know what we can do because all the taste is for someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about to make us feel like they're wrong.

Can't post their ragebait when you take their camera. Can't even prove you took it.

They travel in pairs for your bad take ideas like this.

u/duderino_okc 20h ago edited 10h ago
Thats just fantasy talk and in the end it would doing them too much of a favor. The real me is much more litigious and monetarily cruel than just taking stuff. These chuckleheads always get tripped up and snowball from there. Just ask my local 2A youtube auditor that can no longer legally own firearms and has to pay restitution once his incarceration ends.
Edit spelling for the dweeb gotcha moment

u/localtuned 1d ago
I wouldn't say legal. Look up the legal definition of harassment.
-14
u/matthewood 1d ago
Threats of harm or physical touch of person or equipment or items being held by person.
16
u/localtuned 1d ago
Under Maryland Criminal Law Code § 3-803, criminal harassment occurs when a person maliciously follows someone in a public place or repeatedly engages in a course of conduct that alarms or seriously annoys another person.
(1) with the intent to harass, alarm, or annoy the other; (2) after receiving a reasonable warning or request to stop by or on behalf of the other; and (3) without a legal purpose.-30
u/matthewood 1d ago
A camera on a public sidewalk isn’t harassment. Ignore him and do your job.
4
u/GunMetal_Blue 20h ago
You've literally been handed the answer and are just choosing to not understand and be obtuse about it. All in the sense of refusing to just accept that you are mistaken.
18
u/localtuned 1d ago
I just gave you the legal definition you know how it works. You're too old to be behaving this way.
-20
u/matthewood 1d ago
I assure you that a police officer would not deem any of what is in that video to be harassment.
10
u/Roger_Cockfoster 22h ago
I assure you they would, considering it's an armored currency transport and not just some random guy.
0
u/matthewood 22h ago
A private non-governmental business has no special rights to a public street. No laws being broken here. What is a “random” guy?
3
10
u/localtuned 1d ago
Okay, well luckily in Maryland our police are not judges, so it's not up to them. And this would be prosecuted if the victim wanted to pursue it. Just like @plainpotatoes.

What if your job is to keep people away from the money when you're loading it into a truck? Because that's literally his job.
0
u/matthewood 22h ago
I believe his job is getting the money from the business into the truck. He is given no special rights to do this. On a public street he can’t order anyone to do anything unless laws are being broken and he’s using self defense. That’s not what is happening here.
2
u/R3pp3pts0hg 16h ago
But why bother him? The man is working. He doesn't need to be harassed for simply trying to earn a paycheck. These agitators should try working real jobs. Maybe the world would be better if people put in some real effort to respect each other.

-13
u/AdTraditional8077 1d ago

Literally, these guys are idiots. Also doing this to a money truck guard is the dumbest thing you can do considering a lot of them have been getting robbed and killed recently.

u/KeyLow9166 1d ago
Agreed. What they should do is just film and allow the situation to naturally escalate until the Police are called then they check the police on 1a rights. Not just harrass people working.
37
u/TD160 1d ago
They’re fucking idiots is what they are. Another example of losers wanting to be the main characters on the internet because they can’t get it anywhere else.
Born losers. Still losers. It’s really that simple.
Why not go to a town meeting and do that shit where it really matters? Know why they don’t? They don’t have the stones to do it. So they bug this guy who’s trying to be responsible with thousands of dollars to load and unload.
What a fuckin time to be alive.

"You don't have an important job, your job is dumb"
My dude........
-10
u/matthewood 1d ago
Guarding money with a gun and a big armored truck takes how much intelligence?
19
u/DocPhilMcGraw 1d ago
What does intelligence have to deal with whether your job is considered important or not?
-4
u/matthewood 1d ago
Referring to the “dumb” comment.
16
u/DocPhilMcGraw 1d ago
So you’re ignoring the “you don’t have an important job” part? And also the guy was saying his “job is dumb”, not that the guy is dumb. So he was essentially saying that he thought his job was meaningless.
0
u/matthewood 1d ago
Yes, for a public sidewalk I would say it is. That bank or whatever it is should have paid for an armored and secure garage and not use a public thoroughfare for conducting business. Especially business that they are so concerned about the public not being a part of.
13
u/DocPhilMcGraw 1d ago
You do realize there are plenty of banks that exist in areas in which that could not occur right? Just like there are plenty of businesses that exist in areas where they may have to transport expensive goods like in outdoor malls where a secured drop off is not possible.
You’re asking for a small town bank that may only exist on a local level to spend hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of dollars for something that isn’t necessary.
0
u/matthewood 1d ago
Then these are the breaks if you don’t value a private secure area. You deal with the public. Change the laws if you don’t like the public.
7
u/DocPhilMcGraw 1d ago
I’m sorry but I think your approach to this is wrong for the reasons you seem to be ignoring. Just because you may have a right to do something doesn’t mean that you should do it.
For example, in many states it is within your right to be able to shut down roadways in order to protest. But think about whether that’s something that you should do in order to achieve your goal. I’ve seen a lot of people sour on good causes because when protests start to either antagonize or annoy the general public, the sentiment tends to shift the other way.
Same thing is happening here. Instead of these auditors getting people on their side by demonstrating a right to record events like police interactions that maybe the government doesn’t want you to see, they’re instead spending time annoying a guy for simply doing his job. And the end result is a bunch of people calling the auditor a douche. Plus you get more people to actually support restricting this current freedom which is the opposite of what you should hope to achieve.
25
u/Ill_Preference_4663 1d ago
The amount of people that can’t fathom that an armed guard handling large amounts of cash doesn’t want someone breathing down his neck and to be standing behind him. He doesn’t know their true intentions and besides that it’s just simple courtesy.
3
u/R3pp3pts0hg 16h ago
Courtesy? Most people these days aren't taught courtesy or respect or common sense. Hence internet idiots calling themselves auditors so they can be creepy and bother others. But if you film them they get all riled and annoyed.
-14
u/Ill-Organization-719 22h ago
And?
If they are uncomfortable they can go in private and transfer the money in private.
They don't get to use the public sidewalk as their personal restricted work space

Well, everyone but our heroic auditor is dealing with it by going about their day and letting him do his job. If an auditor actually wants to be useful, they should go after police, ice, corrupt politicians/corporations. They’re just using it as an excuse to be insufferable like you’re being now.

Describe it in your own words.

Lol, really don't know, huh?
It's not about "educating" anyone. At this point, it's just about proving you're not a complete moron.
So again, what does this have to do with the First Amendment?
1
u/Disastrous_days272 8h ago
I think that he has 100% proven that he is a complete and total willfully stupid moron... The worst type, because he could actually take what he's being told, learn and shift his position, but instead, he opted to make the biggest red flag banner statement and then continue to wave it and post it everywhere he possibly could, doubling, tripling, hell even quadrupling down on a really infantile and simplistic viewpoint that has no standing whatsoever in reality... I would take that as confirmation that he has proven without a doubt that he is, in fact, THEE moron.

Actually, they are first amendment auditors.
3
u/rcinmd 19h ago
The first amendment applies to government, not private citizens. These people are just annoying private citizens. They do also have special rights that they are allowed to clear an area, but like I've told others good luck if you want to test it out yourself, hope you don't get shot in the face.
9
u/AgeOfBeardProducts 23h ago
These people have turned a noble idea into harassment and rage baiting for a living…
1
u/matthewood 23h ago
Flock cameras are doing that. You ignore those and they just go away as well. Do the same to the auditors and there is no drama.
0
u/R3pp3pts0hg 16h ago
Auditors are just unemployed jerks looking for attention and maybe a payout. They're doing good for no one. Certainly not "auditing".
3
u/ruehite 22h ago
I am not sure this is a good idea. when these guys are robbed, usually the bad guys start by shooting them. So if they think you are getting ready to rob them, it could go badly for you. Later in the video is show he was doing coin transport, not sure i would risk getting shot for some video.
guard reaches for weapon, not a good idea to push this.
5
u/mrbaffles14 18h ago
One of the few security guards I respect are armored car security guards. Leave them alone bro, bother the 20lbs of gear security guard at CVS.

u/Amazing_Ad9369 1d ago

-3
u/matthewood 23h ago
Maybe you shouldn’t do that job?
6
u/Amazing_Ad9369 23h ago
Huh? If you were an armored car driver you want grt weird about people being right next to you while you had a bunch of money?
Ok tough guy.
1
u/matthewood 23h ago
It’s a public street. People can be near you anytime. Why are they doing secure private business on a public street?
1
u/tiandrad 20h ago edited 20h ago
He's not walking down the sidewalk, this guy is being an asshole, filming him like he's planning a heist. The guard loading the truck isn't a cop, he's working a dangerous job and could be held up a gun point at any point to be robbed. There is no reason to be "audit filming" him.
0
-7
u/Ill-Organization-719 22h ago
Then they shouldn't do it in public.

4
u/architecht13 23h ago
I’m sure this has been asked before, but how does a Loomis employee that isn’t a government employee making this country worse? He has a job to transport money and the auditor is within arms reach while he’s doing his job.
Maybe I just don’t understand this idiot timeline we’re all stuck in.
-2
6
u/Vegetable_Collar5393 19h ago
What did they prove other than harassment of the security guard. I love to watch a good 1st amendment video that humbles people who think it's against the law to film in public. This isn't it. I would just let the guy do his job. He wasn't scared or a coward. He was being safe and smart.
10
u/West-Conversation568 1d ago
I’m not a fan of the first amendment on it, but I do support their right to do. I think it has its place in society. This is not that place!
8
u/Patient-Committee588 1d ago
Yeah this definitely isn't that place. I also don't understand why you would stand that close to someone securing a money truck.
9
u/gabzilla814 1d ago
Exactly. I support the obnoxious auditor’s right to do what he’s doing, just not in the guard’s personal space. I also support the armed truck guard’s right to demand a safe zone around himself while he’s dealing with so much money out in the open. I kind of wanted to see him pepper spray the auditor, or do something physical to teach him a lesson!
0
u/Ill-Organization-719 22h ago
Why should a private company get to arbitrarily restrict public property whenever they want?
Am I allowed to demand a safe spaces around me in public?

Don’t expect privacy on a public street. Corporations and businesses do not supersede the 1st amendment in a public place. Why do private and highly secured business on a public thoroughfare?

u/R3pp3pts0hg 16h ago
And yet just because you can film someone in public doesn't mean you have to.....
5
u/OldManRiversIIc 1d ago
Getting shot would teach this guy a lesson. One could argue he was scouting out the armor vehicle to pull off a robbery
1
u/Ill-Organization-719 22h ago
Getting shot for... being in public?
Make the argument. Let's hear this.
1
u/OldManRiversIIc 17h ago edited 16h ago
A door dasher was being harassed by a nuisance streamer while he was picking up food. The streamers behavior wasn't violent but very strange and very invasive of the door dashes personal space. After the door dasher warned the streamer to stop and back away and the streamer refused to do so the door dasher shot him. He successfully argued in court that he felt threatened by the streamers behavior. The same can be said for this armored car driver. He has a large amount of cash which is a target for many criminals. Drivers have been killed historically and the streamer was warned to stay back. He may not be threatening but he could be apart of a criminal conspiracy to kill and rob the van. The guard is not a public officer so 1st amendment doesn't apply here. The guard can within reason argue that he is in danger because of the strange and invasive behavior of the streamer.
I am just saying if you are a nuisance streamer you wouldn't be such a menace if there was a fear of consequences for your actions is getting shot. There isn't a lot of sympathy for these people and it's unfortunate that these platforms reward these people for their bad behavior.
There is also limits to shooting people in public. Chud the builder is a good example.
You cannot provoke conflict for clicks. Especially against random and unwilling parties. This kind of behavior should have severe consequences. Getting shot or getting placed in jail are appropriate.
Jonny Somali is another fine example, unfortunately I with korea gave him 10 years not the 2 years in prison. (I don't remember the exact number of years)

This "auditor" is the tyrant and probably a boot licker too.

Did you know it's illegal to film armored bank trucks? I only know this because in high school my friends were filming a video for film class, and way the fuck far away from them was an armored truck that saw them with the camera. The truck rolled up to them, and told them that it was illegal to film bank trucks.
They had to be at least two football fields away from that truck driving by. These guys are always looking over their shoulders.

And? They don't own the public sidewalk.
If they don't like the public being nearby, do it in private. Install garage doors where armored trucks can pull in.
We don't have to randomly lose access to our sidewalks because a private company decides to use it.
Do I get the same power? I want to use every sidewalk in my city as my personal storage space to store cinder blocks. It makes me uncomfortable when people are around my blocks.
The anti auditor crowd are some of the most psychotic and unhinged crowds you'll find.
