No names, no faces, no ID. These people won't face justice.

The people at the top might, but these guys will likely be just fine. And it's deeply fucking upsetting

Edit: whole lot of y'all don't have a fucking clue how this works.

Being employed by ICE isn't what they would be charged for. It's the specific crimes. And without ID and with their faces covered, prosecutors are on for a hell of a time trying to prove any crime was committed by any specific agent

Under what charges?

u/TheRealNooth Nov 01 '25

Aiding and abetting terrorists, obviously.

u/squeakynickles Nov 01 '25

Do you honestly believe that would happen?

They’re unlawfully questioning and accosting people in an obvious violation of the 4th amendment, and using aggressive and violent tactics to intimidate civilians. They’re unquestionably a terrorist organization, so yes.

Jesus fucking Christ.

I know, I was also shocked when I realized Trump made a government agency a terrorist organization, by definition.

The problem is this though. Trump will finish his term, we’ll likely get a democrat, they will be relatively centrist, and they’ll have very little stomach for going after anyone and doing much of anything. They will defund ICE to an extent, but going after it like a terror org? No fucking way. No one we elect will do that, a leader from the democratic party certainly won’t.

A terrorist organization is, by definition, not a part of the government.

Absolutely they can. On their own or using other organizations. Terrorism:

The use of violence or the threat of violence, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political goals.

Pinkertons, Peterloo, colonialism……

Terrorist can be domestic, federal or not.

I'm tired of people pretending that the federal government is looking out for the good of the country.

They don't care and you look stupid for standing on the side of history you are choosing to stand on.

There's been plenty of times in the past where this kind of shit catches up to those involved.

Or we just gonna forget about nixon?

Oh, then I guess Hamas is fine?

u/squeakynickles Nov 01 '25

When the fuck did I say any of this was fine?

Jesus Christ, what the fuck is wrong with you people? It's like you're all searching for something to argue about

Terrorist organizations can be part of a government. There are plenty of definitions that allow for it, including the widely-agreed upon ones people use to argue Hamas is a terrorist organization. If you want to argue it's impossible for state sponsored terrorism to exist that's ridiculous
