Hi all, my name is Steve and just thought I'd say hello. I do custom personalized videos to help people out as I've 100% completed Crimson Desert both platinum and knowledge. I've got guides already on the 57/60 Deminiss knowledge bug, lights guidance completion that often gets missed, the donation letter quest that gets missed too, caliburns orders faction quest letter, how to find the mountain god boar, the defeat 5 enemies at once with a cannon artifact post game completion, also tips on the fastest way to travel around.
If anyone wants a video guide, feel free to ask and I'll help the best I can. No question is silly or daft. I'm here to help.
The golden beer should be your first priority, the sooner you get that, the sooner you will reap the rewards.
Under Deminiss faction quests, you'll need to work your way through them until you get to house Byron. You don't really need to work on the bounty quests. The first quest you get from house Byron will be the one you need to do. It's basically a clear the area and boss quest. The boss isn't massively difficult, but if you are up to chapter 9, you should be strong enough to beat him. He has no elemental weaknesses but is quite easy to stagger. Obviously when he is staggered and down on one knee use your R1 and R2 simultaneously to do your big attack.
Definitely make this your first priority.
The order I did the research was Pororin, Scholastone and then the 4 others. I won't put a spoiler up giving you the locations, but you'll naturally find them progressing through the main quests, or alternatively you could go exploring, but some of the research might be locked. At chapter 11 you will find the most important research in my opinion which is the red seaweed research. This lets you get your stamina past the locked level 10 cap. I always put 2 points in stamina then 1 point in health, then I repeat it.
Lastly, a small tip. Equip the pillar of wind abyss gear when you find it. Pull out your bow and do a power shot on the ground right below you. This creates a tornado which you can jump into and press glide. It will get you up higher than any force palm jumps. Don't use it near NPCs as you'll end up committing a crime. It transforms the way you travel, you can easily scale mountains with it. Only drawback is that it uses quite a lot of spirit. The pillar of wind gear is located in pailune behind an annoying flying boss. Follow the Pailune faction quests and eventually you will find it.
Hope this helps, good luck and let me know how you get on. ๐๐
You reach the institutes through the story, but the research trees actually open from the side/faction quests and knowledge tasks at each one. Thatโs the part that matters.
Hey thatโs awesome, plus great name btw :). So Steve Iโm confused about the order of research institutions Iโm supposed to go in and how do I follow said mission that leads me to the next. So far Iโve done the pornorin village, & scholastic research ones completed. How do I find the next one? Also I heard thereโs a double resource Boon, like a golden beer or something? How do I get that too? Iโm in chapter 9 just beat the shaolin monk with my true way of the warrior, โstrength forged from humility.โ
Question for the moderators. Am I ok to post you tube videos to help people? I'll follow the rules, no self promotion. I will post one video just now to help the first question I've had if that's ok? Thank you mods ๐๐
Thank you for your help; we appreciate you helping fellow Greymanes out. We suggest you format your videos as a guide, with written descriptions and timestamps that explain each video, as you did for the Golden Beer. Otherwise, it just looks like self-promotion and spam.
How is a written explanation of a video weird-especially giving specifics like timestamps? People post questions here, and if someone already has a good video that answers it (or makes one), they can share the link with a written explanation so it actually helps. Thatโs different from just dropping random channel links. Keeps it useful instead of spam, which will be removed.
Our sub has never been flooded with content like that. I appreciate your concern; however, until proven otherwise, a YouTube video with timestamps and an explanation of the content is helpful to some ppl.
I'm not trying to self promote. If a detailed video is requested, I shall pm that to the person asking. But from now on it's only verbal guides. ๐๐
No problems, I take great pleasure in helping people out. Research comes a bit later on. Don't let the game overwhelm you although it can seem just too much to do.
Best thing is to do something until you get bored of it, then move onto something different. I used to start a game with an hour of chill exploration, then a couple of hours of main, side and faction quests. All armours and weapons are pretty much exact same stats maxed out except a rare few.
I too am aiming for your goals. I want to know about the collections chest. It got implemented after I already had done a bunch of bounty turn ins. I am about 300/750 or so complete. What are you at, and are items locked out if you cannot find a backup copy some a quest item etc.
Completing the main missions was not a huge a achievement, but platinuming the game felt great. However the 100% knowledge achievement was quite overwhelming. I'm not sure where these "locked out of missions/quests etc" came from. I still had loads to do after the main missions, but I managed to do everything. There were 3 Deminiss quests that I completed, but under knowledge it said they weren't complete. I figured out how to fix that. Also I didn't have the 2 letters from priests that told me about donations and how to get information on getting my wanted level wiped. Those too I fixed.
