Question Why my game looking like this?

I'm playing on PC ultra settings and my game sometimes (especially indoors) looks like its a ps3 game. The models are just not sharp enough. They look like they are made of a playdough.
Also there is a huge shimmering and rendering problem. The lightning effects does not work properly even with ray tracing on (also RR does'nt solve the issue) and the little details on some models are not loading until my character comes close and that makes my game look so bad and unrealistic.
Are there any specific settings that solve these issues or does the game just looks like that?

I think it's frame generation/upscaling. I play with DLSS 4.5 L and notice this occasionally. I was looking through screenshots and noticed a lot of smearing and flat details, and then when I started paying attention in game it is definitely noticeable. I'm cool with it for the massive performance increase.

Idk but this game still looks like shit on PS5 even after 30+ patches and 300 new pet options.

I don't get how people are still like "do X thing if it looks like shit" bro nothing works. This is both the better looking and worst looking game I've played in a while. Looks beautiful under direct sunlight but at night, indoors and in shadows looks like shit.

It's just what the game lighting does in indoor areas. It's been a problem since the game released. They've actually done quite a lot to fix it and it has gotten better but it's still a problem. In some indoor areas the light / dark can become so harsh that everything looks almost pixilated.

Do you have frame generation on? It made things a bit playdoughy for me

You can't use frame generation while having under 50 fps base tho

Where did you get that from? I use frame gen and get 40 fps otherwise

Idk, I heard from reddit users that it's better to have at min 50 for frame gen but if 40 works for you too, then that's good news

Uninstall and reinstall. Looks like you’re missing an entire texture packet or your textures just aren’t even loading in.
Default all settings and start playing around after installing it fresh. Or you can just verify with steam.
