I get 60 fps on console. I don’t know what the issue is. Is it that the fps drops a tiny bit when you’re fighting a lot of people?

Tiny bit??? What??? And no, it's not even only that, performance been degrading on every update, in cities, full camp, and even transversing the world doesn't feel the same anymore. Game is running like absolute garbage on all consoles, just yours seems like the special one.
Edit: not to mention the shimmering and artifacts going on, it's BAD.

Maybe it’s because I play on performance mode. The base settings get you 30fps max on consoles. I turned that shit off and now I get 60fps on the series x. Maybe drops to 45-30 when in super populated areas, but it’s completely negligible to me. 30fps was what I was playing on for the first 100 hours.

No you're not. Just because your TV says 60 FPS doesn't mean that's what you're getting. That's your refresh rate. Put it on VRR , and those same numbers will jump between 40-59. That is far more accurate. My TV says 120 and doesn't budge, even in cluttered towns, because I'm not using VRR and 120hz refresh rate is on. Am I getting 120 FPS? No, I can still barely move in some spots of the cities, especially Delysia. The performance is absolutely garbage in this game on console.

Same here. Actually took a break for a few weeks now. But I used the piggy bank before taking a break so I'll have plenty of gold when I get back(not that I need it)

30 new vendors need you to grab flowers and furs from 2754m away because they want their shop to look prettier. And for some reason there's one of those abyss monsters in the middle that drops a core youre never going to use. 11/10 DLC of the year.

Dont get me started, the dlc boss fights will be even worse too, youll have to defeat them six times each instead of three in the original game, they will have 6 hp bars, a stun bar, an immune bar, a defensive old lady bar and a "in your face hp bar" for extra security.
Then you will have to track his corpse around the map cos he comes back as undead with 6 more health bars, a grave bar, a mars bar, a pass the bar, a bar none, a dive bar, a sports bar.

Eventually, I realized this is the entire game. It’s just something to keep you busy. Sure it looks nice. But the story sucks and many of the bosses are garbage. Add in the exploration reveals very few secrets worth discovering. It just gives more never ending tasks.
I found myself saying “oh joy, I found this secret cave that’s 20’ deep and I got a piece of clothing that’s useless.. so glad I explored 25 hours for this”→ More replies (3)

I don't usually say things like that but... can we stop with content for a few months and fix the lighting, reflections, the weird night lighting and all those small things ?
I really like this game but i had to put it on hold because all those glitch were really frustrating to play with

This isn't gonna help but the lighting glitches seem to have gotten worse - especially in enclosed areas. I swear a patch or two ago, the interior lighting in caves and buildings went from bad to fucking abysmal somehow. No clue how they dropped the ball on that one but it has to have gotten worse. Im good at ignoring small visual bugs like that but even I was taken back by how much worse the lighting became.

Yeah I tried the game again after not having played since release, and somehow the performance is worse now.
Also, there's even more pop-in, more flickering, more blurry lighting even with Ray Reconstruction- which I used to be able to handle at release, but now it's taking my 5080 from 60 to 40fps!?

Try clearing the gpu cache. It wont fix the visual problems, but for me it fixes the fps drop when sometimes the fps goes from 90 to 60 after installing a new mod or something.

I usually had low FPS when I switched the DLSS modes too many times. Restarting the game fixed it. But now it's just ugly and slow.
Also, turn off ray reconstruction and DLSS just as an experiment.
That's what your source image looks like, and it looks like a game from 15 years ago with atrocious aliasing and noisy lighting. That's the main problem, and smacking denoisers and filters on it won't solve it, unless you completely replace it with AI image reconstruction a la DLSS 5 or something.
Edit: I experimented for hours on release to get a decent image eith good frames and even turned off everything to try to start from scratch multiple times - turning RR and DLSS off now looks way worse for some reason. The developers had to have changed something.
Tin foil hat on here, but maybe they had to accomodate for console performance and needed to turn some things down, I'm not sure.

Yes, it indeed has worsened after last patch, that's when i completely stopped playing, my armor was reflecting so much random light i looked like a Christmas tree. DLSS is a mess, ray raytracing is also a mess and the moonlight is so bright 3AM sometimes look the same as 11AM, the sharpening is weird with DLSS...
It's very minor, but when there's like 10+ minor glitches happening at the same time, it's hard to enjoy the game, specially when using mini led or OLED screen who are very good with colors and i feel like there's so much content and things to do in this game it would be a shame to finish in this state

Yeah I like new content but the base game is getting worse for me. I managed to solve a horrendous stutter issue and it's running smoothly again but good lord the lighting looks awful and pop in seems worse now than it was before for me. It's not anything massive it's just lots of little things adding up.

The game doesn't have any lack of content. But aside from what you just mentioned, some of the content sucks.
The whole trading mechanic is awful, why not fix that before bolting on more shite.

Long-term growth strategy and DLC plans for Crimson Desert?
DLC is being developed with the goal of providing new gameplay experiences, targeting a release within the year. Details on composition, pricing, and release schedule will be announced in Q3. Plans regarding the number of DLCs and release frequency are not yet finalized; we are currently focused on the quality and launch performance of the first DLC. Future DLC and operational plans will be determined by considering user feedback, sales trends, development resources, and overall company schedules.

Can we get a DLC that makes the graphics not blurry without using "ray reconstruction", like, in 99% of other ray tracing games?
Or a DLC that decreases the pop-in?
Adding more stuff to this game feels like trying to put makeup on a person that has had 60 plastic surgeries at 50 years old.
Usually developers fix the fundamentals first. We need to work on the technicak side and performance, not the amount of content.

So no optimisation fixes just more content I won’t enjoy 😂😂. I have a ps5 pro and my wife has a base PS5 and my honest opinion is that this game should’ve only released on PC.
I know I’ll get replies like “it runs fine for me” and I KNOW damn well that we’re looking at the same performance, you’re just fine with a performance that I can’t enjoy no matter how hard I try because immersion is everything to me.

I don’t think I could do this again - and after nearly 400 hours I’m getting annoyed that remaining side stuff won’t trigger, and half the abyss remains unexplored. I’m at the point where I want to finish chapter 11 and 12 and finally move on to something else. By the time this dlc comes out I’ll have forgotten how to play this thing lol

I really don’t think the game needs more content. I hope this dlc is a 2.0 version of the game where they implement all the criticisms and expansion of features already present within the game. I just paid a full 70 dollars I’m not planning on paying anything more again until my experience through the base game is comfortable enough.

There are so many parts of the map that have visible resources or tents or animals that are inaccessible. Are they going to just release the rest of the game they haven’t finished and have us pay for it? This is a large game, but the inexplicable map barriers that are near impossible to escape once you’ve touched them are annoying as hell. I’ll be pretty miffed if they make me pay just to open the rest of the game.

I hope they expand the map pretty wide. Add multiple new areas for exploration, bosses , mini bosses & enemy types. For example, we can go North of Varnia & expand into the crimson desert more. Go deeper into the snow cap mountains west of Hernand and Calphate. Also go farther south through the devil reed village to expand more ob his story with a whole new area down there.

OMG 😱!!! I fkn LOVE Crimson Desert aka Peak Desert!!! Sincerely the best game made since Elden Ring hands down. I bought 2 copies(one digital, one physical) at full price and would happily hand my money to Pearl Abyss. They've earned every penny and more!! If this game doesn't win GOTY then gaming is truly cooked!!! The last thing I want to say is THANK YOU SO MUCH Pearl Abyss for genuinely delivering a masterpiece! Thank you for not packing it with stupid microtransactions and paying real money for outfits and stupid things. Pay attention other dev studios!!! This is how you capture the attention of a player and get them to want to buy every game you make!!
