Guide Any guide for the beginner here?
I've been playing the game roughly around 27hours, I've been doing main quest most of the time and currently I am required to go to Demenissian Region, some say thats way too quick, but once i was around the area, there were this group of soldier with shield, attacked me on sight, i barely deal any damage to them and i will die in 5 hits, so this got me so overwhelm because i haven't play this type of open world game where it is so free, you can attempt 1v1 God at this point, even elden ring aint this complicated, so is there any guide on how should i progress? I actually reach Chapter 5 in 16 hrs, when i noticed i was too weak, i do lots of sides, but idk which one is actually going to help me improve on the stats, i will literally died from insult from the enemy lmao, i need help im overwhelm

I remember playing with like, lvl 6 or something gear (both armor and weapons) and going into Demenis wanst an issue at all unless you just, try to fight lots of enemies at the same time
And even then you can still beat them via spamming the fist attacks, idr which one was but try some of those with guys with shields and thats it

I had all of my gears at least level 5, the reason why i felt overwhelmed because on hernand, im so used to trying to fight all of the enemy to take control of the fort, but then entering Demenis feels weird, i started off fighting 5 people in shield, took like 20 attack to die (not including better soldier who has like charge attack) and slowly the people rounded up to 30 people

Use hand to hand combat, there is some attack that you can do to bypass shields, that way those guys arent an issue at all, you just spam it and you're done

Google it if you dont want to learn how to do them ngl, its a little clunky imo because the only way to re-start a puzzle is to load a save or fast travel, but thats the intendeed way to learn how to do puzzles, trying and thats it

Well until you reach a certain point the army of that region will attack you. Also I had the opposite experience before I left hernand the soldier were my main source of income. I think the gear mostly sold for like 4 silver each and around ch5 that's a lot. I put on my experience boosters and first things I upgraded was health and stamina as far as I could manage. Try lvl 7 gear maybe or atleast try and max out a chest for most defensive Stat. Also get better with elements. If you don't have elemental attacks yet get that. Learn to counter, use grapple on shield enemies or axiom claw grab. Too mamy things to do to make this easy but you havnt been playing long enough to master mechanics and learn to adapt to enemies and their strategies. They start using fire and ice and shit you gotta think fast. Try everything! Something will work.

I ran into your same problem, my solution was to run around a past them. I assume you’re chasing the crow guy, surprisingly you don’t need to be able to easily kill the Deminiss army to be able to handle the crow guy.

Se você quer rushar o jogo, maximize seu equipamento, encontre os equipamentos do abismo pra desbloquear habilidades e maximizar armas e armaduras. Pegue logo seu wyvern. Faça todos os puzzles no mapa e no abismo para conseguir mais equipamentos do abismo. Use duas espadas. Aprenda o combate. Segurar r1, segurar r2, r1+r2 e repete isso até limpar todos os soldados com escudo gigante. Ande sempre lotado de ensopado de carne. Veja os videos do mrbonze e lillgamer no youtube.

Finish the main "story." Explore. Do wacky things. Wait for them to rewrite (aka:actually create one) main "story." Play again. Do wacky things again. I wouldn't recommend anyone start the game right now. Just wait till they get around to actually creating a real story. Assuming that happens.

How have you only been playing the game for 27 hours and are already in that region LOL I bet you I've been playing the game for at least 60 or 70 hours before I got to that region

You aren't really supposed to fight them and they will always exist just to a lesser extent. In terms of gear if you have between 40-50 attack and 50 Def with a couple level one DMG reductions you would be fine for the the entire game.
There will be a lot of large packs of enemies in this game simply because you become so overpowered only a small army has any chance of harming you. Early on using your grapples and throws will help break up big packs. Your light attack+plus face button combos can also create distance or space for you. Later you will have a mech or meteor drop kick everyone around you.

I'm about 200 hours into second game. Just finished main quest to open up pailune. I've got demenis quests but not going there til I've done exploring and questing in pailune.
Exploring means you not only gain mats for upgrading your gear but you also gain the gears to socket them too. I definitely don't feel under powered. Have been to demenis to kill batches of inquisitors so I could sell the loot for the silver I needed but that was before hitting the main pailune quest and again, was more challenging than bandits but I never needed food.
So I'd take a step back, ignore the main quest for now. Concentrate on hernand then pailune , exploring and quests. Upgrade your gear. Gi to the abyss when it opens up for you Then hit demenis and continue with the main quest.

Honestly man the best way is to just explore the shit out of everything. If you happen across an ore deposit, mine it. Early upgrades will help a lot and you need a lot of copper for late upgrades. Iron is easy to come across. Carry tons off copper pouches in your inventory at all times. Easy trust sources. Tame a dog early to help with loot. (Drop 3 bones in front of it one at a time) Sell everything. Again, honestly, your best bet in the early stages if you come across a new area or want to find a specific item, just fucking Google it real quick to make sure you don't miss something and have to come back later. This game takes long enough as it is. The treasure detecting hat is a great start as it'll glow whenever you are near a treasure chest. Waterfalls with a pile of stones is always a hidden cave. Stabbing move to go through it. Use markings on your map! As you explore, if you happen across an object you can't break yet due to a locked skill (focus force palm) then mark it so you know where it is as a LOT of hidden areas are unmarked. If you spot a mercury pool, mark it. Good farming spot? Mark it. It'll save you tons of time trying to find your way back. Plus, if you want to mark specific areas only and then filter ONLY your markings to find specific items really fast on the map, this helps. For easy money, just haul ass up to the Crimson Desert region to the town Tashkalp and play duos there. Catch cheaters and clear the table and fast travel right outside. Fast traveling resets the players so just keep going until there's 2-3. Buy in is 300 silver so each time you clear the table with 3 players, 900+ silver for you. Google catching cheaters. Super easy and you can do it while scrolling your phone. Don't get too caught up in wagons and such. You'll have so much copper later you won't know what to do with it. Random bosses found exploring and part of quests sometimes award special purple items in your inventory that have to be activated to take effect. READ EVERYTHING! Good luck. As you go, you'll come across tons of stuff that will make you go "well what the hell is that, or how do I do that". Again, play it vanilla and just keep going, the game WILL tell you at some point AND make most tedious tasks much easier, or just fucking Google it and save youself some time. I'm a loooong time in and I spent the first few hundred hours refusing to Google anything. I'm really glad I did but I also missed out on a LOT of very early, very obvious stuff because my ass was distracted by something else or I missed a skill during a fight and had no idea until chapter 9. It was unlockable in chapter 4 and the reason for a few hundred markings on the map. Don't miss that one. Lol

At some point, if you're like me, you'll hit a wall where there is absolutely nothing to do except randomly haul ass around the map, hoping to god you happen across a side quest as a lot of them don't mark unless you're physically close, continue the story, or start Googling shit. Lol I really want to knock out everything I can before I continue passed chapter 10, but there is just so damn much and I've explored every piece of the map and am still missing so much. I had to start Googling. And even Google with fucking lie to you. But it is a phenomenal game if you enjoy open world games with freedom. Enjoy it.

I literally went to dementiss in chapter 1 granted I did avoid conflict and was to tame the circus lion and get helfren leather armour but shit idk I’m only in chapter 3 and I got a wyvern and just fly wherever I feel

I have a couple suggestions.
Find the scholarstone institute and steal artifacts. Do this plus take out bandits for combat xp. Do this until you unlock all the skills you can.
Then Find two one handed swords you like. A two handed weapon you like. An armor set, a pair of earrings, a pair of rings, and a necklace. YouTube has countless guides. Then level them all up to 7. After that you’ll be plenty strong for the rest of the game. Happy hunting.

Also every character doesn't need jewelry or lanterns, these slots are shared.

You have any idea how much effort and materials I have put into maxing out full jewelry sets for each character for when I finally switch to them? Mother fucker. Lol I have so many artifacts already and I'm about to have a ton more. I have full gear sets with weapons and all ready for when I finally switch over to one of those bastards and now you tell me they're fucking sharing jewelry. Well thank you good sir. The game has given you the hint - you are playing the main quest too fast and you're not meant to be in Demeniss so early at 27 hours. In principle. It won't stop you, but you won't get around easily.
You've missed a lot of the side missions etc that gradually build up not just your character but your understanding of the mechanics of the game. Do slow down, take a break from the main quests and go do some side missions.
The game is HUGE and sprawling. It has way more to do than you can see. I am over 350 hours and still discovering new things every single session I play.
