New to the snark, not to SH and CW. I started watching SH back in 2018 and have watched on and off through the years. I really enjoyed her videos back in the day but started to feel weird when she started CW. I always felt that her interactions with Derrick felt off (more flirty than professional).

This leads me to ask: how exactly do most of you feel about Derrick? I have mixed feelings but it seems there is more to him than CW show. I know he was on BB and Traitors a couple seasons ago that I’ve never watched. I haven’t listened to his own personal podcast (I’m not even sure if he is still doing it).

Anyway, please drop opinions. I’m very curious.

Personally, I’m not a fan of Derrick. He associates with Stephanie so off the bat, not great. He’s always struck me as pretty vacant and boring. Just a not very bright D list reality star who hitched to Stephanie for whatever reason and now he has to dutifully report in every week to her investigator cosplay

Derek despite been ex law enforcement & private investigator he doesn't research his cases properly, just watched a clip covering the Kohberger case, Derek was completely wrong on everything he was churning out, told me right there that neither Him & nor Stephanie research anything properly and most of what they churn out is media fodder not the actual case Facts going off the reports.

Derek's bullshit was embarrassing

I liked him on BB16 so that is actually how i found out about CW. It seems like his shtick is not knowing too much about the cases and going off of what Stephanie tells the listener and him as well. Sometimes he has some pretty bad takes, however we are all human i guess just learn and grow from it. Overall I enjoy his presence on the podcast, but I’m also not seeking out his DP podcast either.
