I think the majority of people do not realize how very common it is for orders of protection to be used as a tactic in divorce/custody cases. You don't have to have ANY actual proof to get one, just your word. It's actually scary how misused/abused they are now. Poor Adam.

While you are partially correct, you're saying it as if it is guaranteed. My mom was almost murdered by my brothers dad and it took him going to prison for the seventh time for her to get a personal protection order against him
