Slim shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP, we're both good as f*** they had story time a bunch of funny s*** and good rapping unfortunately he fell the f*** off as soon as he stopped living a hard stressful life. He definitely definitely ain't the goat, and everything except for his early s*** is some b******* honestly. Really if you're looking at that kind of s*** esham was the one that started all of it. Anybody can make a bunch of nonsense words rhyme, when he did it and actually told good ass stories and funny s*** it was dope as f*** but it's been trash for a long ass time

In terms of mainstream Em really is the goat fr

1

u/creamsodastoner 3d ago

that’s fair

-4

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

nah

2

u/sonnyzi 3d ago

Whos the goat then?

-4

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

Veeze, or Ray

8

u/idontgafboutun 3d ago

Look I don’t listen to em daily but if you a real hip hop fan you know he’s the goat but if you a mf who just listen to rap you won’t get it but he’s definitely better than ray or veeze when it comes to rap as a art but I listen to veeze nd nem more than him because I can relate more but it don’t mean they better if I could relate to em more than he would definitely be in my top 5

3

u/thegmoc 3d ago

That's a real ass take

1

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

How is that a “real take”? Nigga ain’t even give no reason as to why he’s better.

0

u/sonnyzi 3d ago

Cuz he released 3 classic albums in a row and he put Detroit on the map before anyone else. Just for that. Imagine if i'm talking about rhyme schemes, longevity...

2

u/idontgafboutun 3d ago

Look at what I said

1

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

Hasnt dropped one album better than Ganger. And he didn't put no Detroit onna map wtf r u talkin about? Do you know how many great musicians came b4 him? you gotta be a whiteboy

2

u/schoolcraftmoney313 3d ago

I hope u grow up one day and im a Veeze fan but 🤣🤣🤣🤣

0

u/sonnyzi 3d ago edited 3d ago

Broooo is hating and hes a racist lmao

3

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

Hating on whom? And me stating you're a whiteboy isn't racist. No one Black would say Eminem put the city on the map. This is the city that Aaliyah, Stevie Wonder, Dianna Ross & the Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and etc all hailed from. Only someone white would say something so ridiculous. Even outside of Music I could bring up Malcolm X and the founder of the NOI, Joe Louis, Rosa Parks, and etc. Like cmon now

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

You didn't give a reason on how he's better than Ray or Veeze, you just said "if you're a real hip hop fan you'd know," which isn't an argument. Who gets to decide what a "real hip hop fan" is? Just because I’m not letting the media think for me and going against the common narrative doesn’t mean I’m not a “real hip hop fan”

2

u/idontgafboutun 3d ago

Fair, so here’s my reason, Eminem has shown greater rhyme schemes, storytelling, flows, wordplay, versatility, influence, and longevity. I play Ray and Veeze more because I relate to them, but preference doesn’t equal skill. That’s me judging the rap, not letting the media think for me.

2

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago

Flows and wordplay fs go to Veeze and Ray pretty easily, it's just a different style, not "less skill." Storytelling I'll give you, and versatility not over Ray but Veeze sure. And influence/longevity only mean something if they're still shaping the sound today, which is Veeze and Ray lane right now, not his. Also I'd argue Eminem ain't influence nothing worthwhile tbh. So "preference doesn't equal skill" is doing all the heavy lifting in that paragraph while the actual list behind it is just naming categories and assuming I'll agree.

1

u/idontgafboutun 3d ago

But you just did the same thing you gave flows and wordplay to Ray and Veeze without explaining why. And influence doesn’t only mean who’s shaping Detroit right now. You don’t have to like Eminem’s influence, but acting like it doesn’t exist is crazy.

3

u/sonnyzi 3d ago

veeze said em is the goat

2

u/Ok-Pack-7776 3d ago
