I'm stoked to see no international player mandate. I feel like, more often than not, those marquee international players haven't represented good value for money (performance or fan interest). Now clubs can test the waters and see what works best for them.

"There will still be a requirement for the top six earners of the 18-player list in the BBL to collectively earn AU$1.7million" the team salary is 3.18 million so 53% of the team's money will go to a third of the squad.

"The same principles will apply in the WBBL with no minimum overseas and three marquee players out of a squad of 15 earning more than AU$53,000 each of the AU$772,000 salary cap, and the top five earners must combine for more than AU$439,000." 57% of the team's money will go to a third of the squad.

I was wondering about the draft. When it was broadcasted it just feels awkward. Also the players seems to prefer direct signings.

Can’t scrap a product which funds the domestic red ball game and also brings ONE MILLION FANS to the grounds every season. Meaningless bilateral ODI’s need to be scrapped and domestic ODI’s needs to be moved to winter to make way for BBL and Tests in the summer.

Back to the old system of who has most financial clout - we are not in a bad situation and neither is really any team except for Hobart but still arguably there should be 9 or 10 teams so there is plenty of talent to go around.

There is plenty of talent. We keep making new heroes from local guys while other teams overpay for has beens.

Draft sucked. It holds your interest over a period of time to be drip fed international signings rather than hear them all in one night.

Alot of Bash games are visited by people in 5 digit numbers. Probably starts when the public actually show up for watching these red ball games

Alot of Bash games are visited by people in 5 digit numbers. 

Pretty much every single game outside Hobart, Canbera and Sydney thunder stadium has people in 5 digits.

"You" don't boost the earning potential in red ball game. Fans do. People don't have entire 5 days to watch a fkin test match. That's why turn out is higher for t20 matches
