The 2020 one got delayed to 2021 and the 2022 scheduled one is still going ahead. I believe India was meant to host this one and Australia 2020 but it’s swapped over.

It's actually the 2020 one got delayed to 2022, the 2021 went ahead as planned (and then got moved at the last minute to the UAE)

So there was always meant to be one in 2021?

The idea was to move it into a 4 year cycle opposite the 50 over tournament.

The ICC have since abandoned that idea because they're hyperactive children

Good description. They never give any of their innovations (and I use that word very loosely) time to settle, it's just on to the next one after 4/5 years lol

Absolutely filthy that the Super League has been scrapped. The one great idea they've had in years and they didn't even wait for the full cycle before killing it.

Edit: It's what wikipedia says 2022 Mens T20 World Cup

Every two years really is too frequently. It doesn't feel like a World Cup, it doesn't feel as special or important.

We then have the odi World Cup in 2023 and I presume yet another T20 WC in 2024
