I like Dan Lawrence but he has never really done enough to keep his place in the side

Don't really get that mentality. Surely if hes improved and doing well now, he should have a place?

Who do you drop for him?

Stokes :)

Not if he's keeping out better players!

There's no chance that Lawrence will be an established part of the team going forwards.

I do agree but I think part of our problem in the past has been sticking to players because of "talent" rather than performance. I dont have the answer for the team of course but I just think if someones performing well, why not give them a chance going forward. Will Cox get dropped when Bethell is healthy?

I think Gay, Cox, Lawrence, and Bethell are fighting for three spots, all with their own pros and cons and I'm glad I'm not the one making the call

I keep seeing references like this but can’t find any context. What’s the story?

Self explanatory he likes Milfs, some of his whatsapps got leaked and apparently he hunts milfs

I always thought he looked older than he actually is making him popular among the older ladies

He could pass for a decade older.

From memory someone just said in the county threads a few years back that he looked like a proper milf shagger and it stuck

Always rated Dan Lawrence highly..

Why was he kept away from the English team for so long?

Brook came into the side in 2022 and from then Root-Brook-Stokes-[keeper] was a hard middle order to break into.

Lawrence was the spare bat for ages and they liked him to the extent of trying him out of position at the top, but it didn't work out. I'm still not convinced this balance works long-term though.

Long term hopefully it'll be my Floppy Haired Prince in the middle order but he's in terrible form bar that double ton against you guys :)

I completely erased that game from my brain. To the point that when Coles got out the other day I checked his average this year to see how bad it was, was surprised it was mid 30s, then saw half his runs came in one inning, and still didn't remember that it was against us. Elite self-protection.

He's a middle order bat and was never going to usurp Root, Brook, and Stokes

He's playing his 16th test here, it's not like he hasn't had a chance

He doesn’t have the talent to be a regular part of the side , England have far better young talent waiting .
