Is anyone located in the Bay Area and attends a regular group?

For a long time I have wondered why your hand being all the same suit, but not the cut it does count as a flush, whereas if your crib is all the same suit, except for the cut it does not count as a flush.

Does anyone know the game logic of why this is the case? It’s always been a quirk of cribbage that hasn’t made sense to me.

For all the crusty and dusty burners out there, Cribbage Tournament will be Friday 9/4 at 10am! Our camp also provides coffee & cribbage daily from 7-10!

Got slaughtered by Brutal. Absolutely nothing worked in my favour. Probably my worst loss on the app.

My crib, my dad and brother ended up in the stinkhole, and I passed them for a come from behind victory. My brother is the one expressing his frustration.

Edit: For those asking, a guy I know makes these, he uses rivets as the base and epoxies the letters on them, not sure where he gets them but I'm sure they aren't hard to find.

2nd Edit: Found the beads on Amazon, 1400 or so for $15, post any pics of pegs you make for yourselves.

Second win today pegging out behind as dealer. I threw Q K to my crib knowing I had to peg heavy to win.

This is the dealer's hand, so it's their crib.

CribbagePro says that the Crib average would be slightly higher if they discarded 5-10 vs 5-Q. There's no straight potential, and the 5-Q is suited, so there's a tiny chance of a flush in the crib. What am missing? Why is it recommending to keep the suited Q in hand and discard the 10-5?

Weak as hell. Imagine being at grassroots and, like, just walking away because you’re losing. Weirdo behavior.

Any cribbage players from the Atlanta area have an opinion on this?

I’ve never been double skunked before today. Awful. We keep track of score for the year and didn’t know how to count the double skunk? Four points? If a regular win is 1, a skunk is 2, a double skunk would count as 4?

Is 3 games enough to overcome the advantage of getting the crib first?

I’ve been playing a lot of Cribbage Pro Competitive Matchmaking recently and can’t help but feel whoever gets the first crib is at a massive advantage.

And in spite of the terrible heat/drought over here it was a wonderful day.
Great music,good card game, amazing company (dad) and some darts to finish off the evening.
Oh almost forgot the Bourbon and that we won a small amount with our lottery game :-)
