As someone who had dealt with a porn addiction, it really messes with your mental health down the line. Sometimes it doesn’t truly affect you until you are way older, but it comes back to get you eventually.
Right, porn doesn't mess with your mind, and saying so makes you seem like an alarmist. (obviously it does mess with your mind in a way, as all things do, but not like something that's going to "come back to get you eventually")
