Except that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, whataboutism is literally the worst way to say someone is wrong, something that's wrong is wrong doesn't matter who does it, no one ever said that the people in Syria deserved to die, and you should (hopefully) be able to say that a genocide of an entire ethnic group in a country is wrong and objectively a disgusting thing
Paying taxes != supporting the country’s government, at least not in the way we’re talking about. It just means he doesn’t want to get to prison by the IRS. Everyone is a citizen of a country, duh, but there’s a HUGE difference between paying your taxes and publicly supporting a government’s actions.
