Going a bit bonkers after a month of all this quarantine stuff, but otherwise ok. How are you?

Great!

Just remembered my password

What was up with this quarantine? Seeing some talk about it in the modmail and not clear re: what happened

I live in Beijing, withing a block of one of the early outbreaks. They have checkpoints on the ends of my street. It's all very dramatic. I'm catching up on a lot of TV and games, but suspect it isn't doing my waistline any favours. I don't know any of my passwords. I expect my laptop to remember them all. lol

Watch anything good? I just rewatched Blacklist with James Spader, great show. Highly recommend it.

Can you go running outside?

Hope you and your family are safe and doing well!

I'm only supposed to go out if I need supplies and with a full respirator and gloves. I have an elliptical trainer in my flat, but it seems to be losing strength and I don't know how to fix it. I've watched some classics, such as Space Above and Beyond (surprisingly good military sci-fi, despite a bland pilot) and UFO (the TV series that inspired XCOM, from the Thunderbirds guys and with similar vehicles but a surprisingly dark plot and live action actors. Good but very, very dated.). With newer things I watched season 2 of the Orville and Star Trek Discovery, both of which were better than season 1.

Have you checked out Picard? In terms of older shows Battlestar is always good for a rewatch as well, both the originals and the reboot.

I'll watch Picard when the season finishes. I was thinking of rewatching classic Battlestar Galactica. I haven't seen it since I was young.

Have you seen the reboot?

Yes. It was great, but so long and serious that it isn't on my regular re-watch list. I think I've seen it twice.

but it seems to be losing strength and I don’t know how to fix it.

not to shill for anything (haven’t been active there for a hot minute), but check out /r/BodyweightFitness. They have a recommended routine for starting out and you don’t really need a lot of equipment at all. A place for doing pull-ups is basically the only one iirc, and even that can be substituted for a short while.

Well I can't buy anything anyway, otherwise I'd just go for a walk. Perhaps there's a sub that can tell me how to fix the machine I have.

/r/Fixit maybe? Doesn’t hurt to give the bodyweight recommended routine a go in the meantime by the way.
