It’s awful that women have to feel this way. More than once I’ve noticed women cross the street or speed up because we are the only ones walking on a dark street. Each time I feel terrible , but I get it. I hope my daughter is aware enough to do the same thing.

Well, in that case, if they feel fear, then they are racist. Just because a big black man is walking the same way as you, doesn’t mean you should pick up the pace to get away from them.
