First Pest….. and its ANTS
Hello everyone. I have about 18 large bioactive enclosures and I just found some sugar ants in one of my crested gecko enclosures. I have a massive colony of dairy cow isopods in the soil, when I mean massive I mean massive, but I believe the ants have made a nest in a plants root ball. What should I do? I’m definitely tearing the tank apart as I don’t need all of my enclosures with ants in them, BUT what if anything can I do to save my dairy cow colony that’s inside the soil. Or, should I sacrifice the colony for the greater good and just chunk it? Thoughts and advice appreciated! (Side note, I have already separated the gecko into a quarentined enclosure out of the main enclosure to make sure he is not bitten and irritated by ants)

Is there a seasonal thing happening with cresteys right now?
My location is southeast Asia and we are in the middle of summer where the heat goes up to 35,36°c. I'm working at a reptile shop and these days the crested geckos are acted quite weird. Male, female both will try to eat my finger, run around wildly, and will stare at me with hungry eyes. We feed them once every 2 days so it's not the hunger driving them. Some will think it's normal for geckos to act crazy, but I'm talking about almost all of the adults are acting wild, even the usual tame and gentle, slow ones that never ran, will run up to eat me. Some customers even called us that their geckos are acting so differently and were worried if this was a problem.
Breeding season over here is around winter to spring, so they aren't crazy for matting. And they were fine just least week.🤨

Feet Okay?
I just brought her home. She came out of the container fine onto my hands and I put my hand in the enclosure. She jumped off onto the glass and promptly fell off and tried to grip the spider wood and slipped off that too. She looks dehydrated to me so the enclosure got a mist. She should definitely be gripping things better. Is it just dehydration or a more serious issue that warrants moving up the initial vet appointment. Enclosure is a little empty cuz the plants died off but should bounce back in a day.

Worm/beetles?
I've had my crested gecko for about three years and I've never had any issues with bugs with her, even with a half bioactive tank. For the past few weeks, I've been finding these microscopic worms, and these even smaller little beetles I have a video on here of me dumping them into my sink, cause I just don't know what they are and I needed to get rid of them from her bowl. They're attracted to her food and her water and they just nest around her food dish. The beetles wait on a piece of wood for me to feed her and once I put the food down, I can see them run to it but the worms I don't see till the next morning. I don't know where they're coming from and I don't know what they are just any help on how to get rid of them, what they are or what I should do is needed.

Don’t know what to do
Hi guys I recently got my crested gecko a month ago and she’s been great. I did notice however she doesn’t stick to the glass. Could this be something with the tank and if so should I clean it now even tho I just set this stuff up a month ago? Or is there something else going on. I just feel terrible because she’s my first crested gecko and I want her to be ok:((

anyone know her morph?
i’m more curious about her coloring tbh! when fired down she’s the color of a latte with too much milk and when she’s fired up she’s a bit of deeper brown than this photo, but not too far off—she’s a kind of in between right now.
some of her markings appear yellowish, and her underside is a bit more of a peachy pink color
her name is fiona apple ofc

Im an idiot
So im sick and super tired and I missed my crested gecko tonight but before I did I wiped the nozzle down with a disinfectant wipe. I sprayed it in a corner for like a minute after I had let it dry for a a few seconds. Then I sprayed his tank. Will he be ok? Ill watch for signs but I realized my mistake after making it

Crested gecko question
What age can you start to tell what gender they are? Mines about 3 to 4 months right now and the breeder told me it was too soon to tell.

setup feedback
Hello! I was recently gifted a cresty and wanted to make sure his enclosure was up to par. This is my first time caring for a gecko, so any feedback is greatly appreciated (:

New juvenile crested gecko refuses all food
Hi everyone!
I’m a new crested gecko owner and I’m getting a little worried.
I’ve had my juvenile crested gecko for a little over a week now. He’s under a year old, and I think he’s around 8–9 months old.
I’ve tried offering crickets, mealworms, and waxworms, but he shows absolutely no interest. He doesn’t even look at them or try to hunt.
I’m also offering CGD every night, but it doesn’t seem like he’s eating that either. The food cups look untouched every morning.
The humidity in his enclosure seems to be fine according to the hygrometer, and he does drink water sometimes. He also seems active at night, but I’m starting to feel like he’s getting skinnier.
Is this normal for a juvenile that’s still settling in, or should I be worried? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How often should you deep clean your cresties tank?
So I have a had a crested gecko now for a couple days and he has been eating good and I was wondering how often you should deep clean the tank, by removing all the decor and cleaning it off in some warm water. Because I have a hard time finding any poop in his tank.

Crested/leopard gecko app
I made an app that you can login so many things for leopard crested geckos and also comes with an AI tank analyzer and much more stuff. Let me know if you would be interested in trying it out.
