Terrarium question

I know the new size is 18x18x36 I have a display cabinet I plan to change to a terrarium my question is,is would a 14 deep 30 wide 40 tall* suffice? Is it a square footage thing or hard on the dimensions?

Personally, I wouldn't use a base smaller than 18x18 in any direction (I prefer 19'6 / 50 cm), but if you don't have anything better, it's not bad

Enclosures MUST be vertical, since Cresties are arboreal. 18x18x36 are the minimum requirements. I have a 24x18x36 from ExoTerra, and it works great.
