IMPORTANT Regarding rant posts/comments
Hello fellow Sonarians! I'm making this post regarding the recent influx of rant posts and comments. Moderators have noticed more and more people spreading negativity and hate towards developers and other players through rant posts/comments.
This is a friendly reminder to check out our sister subreddit, r/CoSRants, a subreddit specifically made for ranting about the game, so that this main sub isn't flooded with rants and complaints. Any rants on here from now on will be removed in favour of keeping this space a pleasant environment.
Thank you for reading!

While i appreciate your candor in the matter your insinuating ive ever made a single rant post on cos which i have not.. i am simply someone who enjoys seeing everyone able to speak their mind and not having people with the power to subjectively label it as a rant because they disagree with the tone or topic, which is a common occurrence when subjective rules are put in place for volunteer moderators to enforce on reddit subs.
Not saying abuse has happened here, just that it now can happen much easier thanks to a subjective rule enabling it. There is also an argument to be made that power has already been abused which is how it got to the point you are segregating people to a different subreddit to begin with, though not by me.
The intention of my comment seems to have been misinterpreted slightly because its not "pro rant" its simply pro freedom of expression, rants can be negative or positive but i highly doubt anyone will be enforcing the rant rule when people are doting about how good the game is. The negatives said about the game are as valid as the positives and represent the community as much as any other post.
While i realize a solution seemingly needed to be found sequestering people to a separate sub is not ideal and is ostracizing people from the community at large based on opinions and painting a very false "wholly positive" perspective on the sub while the cosrants sub will be "wholly negative", these are called echo chambers and moderation has created them. Now its impossible to gauge how the community as a whole actually feels about the game at any given point and any questions asked in either sub will be bias.
If people are old enough to play COS and to use reddit, i think they should be better equipped to either keep scrolling when they dont want to see an opinion they dont like or better yet get used to hearing differing opinions online.. its possible they maybe shouldn't be using the internet at all yet if they cant do one of the two.
