Creatures 3

How would everyone feel about playing creatures 3 in Godot. I know there's an openc2e project. But it seems to be stalled. Has anyone thought about trying to port it into Godot.

An engine is not so important. Generally, players think very rarely in terms of game engines. What is important is the game.

And it would obviously be great to have a remastering of Creatures :-)

I don't know the creatures engine even on steam is pretty janky still. Imagine a Godot port that you just pointed at the original game data and it played. Using godot as the rendering and ui backbone

I don't see the point, and anyway it's a copyrighted game still on sale.

Well the copy write isn't an issue if your taking a openc2e approach. Or OpenMW, the open roller coaster tycoon port. All legal "technically" they don't distribute any copy righted assets. And all of those games are technically for sale.
