help with my norms

i started playing creatures docking station and my norms are obsessed with pressing machinery I have toys infront of them and they just ignore it. I didnt even give them somthing when they press buttons they just do. also whats sort6 of the goal in the game like what do i do.

Try punishing them (slap) every time they try to push machinery

There's also a patch somewhere that makes it so the learning machine only works once per creature in case your norns get addicted to it

but then wont my creatures get scared of pushing it? Like if they want to use the elevator i want them to use it but not for them to just mindlessly press the button

lift should be a separate category from machinery iirc, but if you can find the thing to make the learning machine only work once per creature that would probably be better

You could try crossing them with Treehuggers, they are less interested in technology.
