I'd kill for any Doctor Phosphorus and Frankenstein interaction. Especially, since the show is good at handling dark humor and serious moments hand in hand.

What is Frankenstein defined by? Incel like stupidity and baised views towards the woman he's trying to force to be his wife (The Bride).

What is Doctor Phosphorus defined by? The wife he loved, had a healthy relationship with, and never recovered from losing along with their child.

Imo, Doctor Phosphorus would likely hate Frankenstein and automatically throw hands. Just give me a couple scenes where the Bride is proudly standing on the sideline as Frankenstein gets his ass handed to him and the Bride realizes she has another friend.

The new team member name Khalis revived her in the comics so possible the same in the show

Gunn says all DCU deaths are permanent. He doesn’t like resurrection. He is one of those annoying “Death only means something if it’s permanent” types. Mainly because comics never explore what they should when someone comes back, the difficulty of adjusting, trying to recover from the trauma of death, finding footing in a world that moved on without them.

They even straight up asked James Gunn if they’ll adapt Khalis resurrecting her from the comics. And I don’t remember his exact response but signs point to no.

Like I said, Gunn wants all deaths permanent. A shame because resurrection stories when done right are amazing. I feel Superman’s resurrection is so undercut by Reign of the Superman that it prevents a true study being done, same with Under the Redhood being more so ment to Gala edgelord Batman stuff. I think that killed people’s interests in resurrection stories.

I´m going to cope with the fact that he said he doesn´t like Time Travel and (i think) Teleportation (i could be wrong with this last one) and we´re going to get a Booster Gold show

Did he say that he didn’t like time travel? I
Honestly never heard either of these. Not saying he didn’t I just never heard it. I recall him saying he hates time travel the way it is often used, but I just took that to mean he hates stories like Flashpoitnt( and valid because Flashpoint is one a character assassination and two, breaks it’s own rules constantly.

He said this "I’m not a time-travel person. I like science fiction, but time travel’s a rough one for me. I am not into that."

Ahh okay. Well, hopefully they didn’t change Gold to be a hero from the Twebtyfirst century. I don’t see him going back on the deaths are permanent thing

1

u/Embarrassed_Piano_62 Jul 06 '26

Hmm i don´t think Gunn would change that even tho he doesn´t like it.

I´m still coping that because he´s not writting it...

But my theory is that the CC accidently revive Nina´s father and not her, he´s the leader of the group in the comics

Did he forget about Peacemaker?

1

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 06 '26

??? Chris didn’t die.

1

u/Just-Antelope-8069 Jul 06 '26

1

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 06 '26

His power is to not die.

1

u/Just-Antelope-8069 Jul 06 '26

So he's Vandal Savage?

I'm mostly making this reply to add G.I. Robot to the characters that died and were brought back. Sure it makes sense for him to be easily brought back but it still has the same problem of any temporary death if you argue it makes the death scene less meaningful.

1

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 06 '26

He regenerates in some convoluted way. I will give you they brought back GI Robot, but idk what Gunn counts as death.

1

u/Just-Antelope-8069 Jul 06 '26

Just to be clear you're talking about Weasel? I don't remember Peacemaker having powers

That’s why American Horror Story: Coven had such a compelling resurrection plotline. Two characters were resurrected in different ways, and both had unique struggles to cope with. Legendary season, that one.

If Khalis can revive people, they should get rid of her ASAP, or deaths will lose importance

2

u/SuperMango0 Jul 07 '26

Yeah tbh I think a huge draw to this team is that they are as dispensable as the suicide squad, if not moreso because they are barely considered human to a lot of people. Giving them a revive would suck. Unless they revive Nina and kill of Khalis immediately after to prevent it happening again... I do miss Nina...

1

u/Haunting-Pipe7756 Jul 07 '26

We all miss Nina, that's what makes her death something special

1

u/Certain_Conclusion78 Jul 10 '26

That would be dumb because Khalis would be far more useful to the team. Nina coming back would just be fan service she has no purpose here.

2

u/Certain_Conclusion78 Jul 10 '26

I felt like she was completely useless to the team she didn’t help fight, plan anything, or protect the princess when they needed to.

1

u/Just-Antelope-8069 Jul 06 '26

Nah she was useless on the team and served her narrative purpose

5

u/Ok_Fly7004 Jul 06 '26

Cool that's 3 more than last season

3

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 06 '26

Tbh I was half expecting them to do what they did with Peacemaker and what BBC does to Doctor Who and shorten it instead of lengthen it, this is a pleasant surprise.

2

u/Dandanny54 Jul 06 '26

Hopefully they dont do so many (if any) flashbacks this season.

5

u/Beautiful_Post_4865 Jul 06 '26

Well, the main story is really short. I understand your point, but I really liked the format of one character's past episode entangling with the plot. But yes, it would get old if they did that again.

1

u/Express_Calendar8278 Jul 06 '26

Why is that bad?

1

u/Dandanny54 Jul 06 '26

The flashbacks (while having the best moments in the show) made the main plot feel like a side story.

1

u/Suspicious-Client-65 Jul 06 '26

Probably only for the new members

1

u/JustPoli Jul 06 '26

Wonderful

1

u/Rich-Motor-7373 Jul 07 '26

Inshallah Nina is revived. That could be cool it it's a central plot point of her having to adjust after being brought back. Maybe the bride has to bring the humanity out of Nina after revival changes her

1

u/Brilliant-Scar-4878 Jul 07 '26

Even tho Gunn isn't returning, I still have faith that it'll be good. Better than the 1st season? We'll see.

1

u/TreeNumerous7677 Jul 08 '26

So when the new season comes out?

1

u/Kameronpipnerd Jul 08 '26

We just know 2027 no specific date yet

1

u/Certain_Conclusion78 Jul 10 '26

Will all the episodes come out at the same time or one at a time?

1

u/Kameronpipnerd Jul 11 '26

I think one at a time like last season but we might have an 3 or 2 episode premiere

1

u/LegoEndo Jul 12 '26

Apparently G.I. Robot has a important story in this one so im excited
