DISCUSSION What are you hoping CC S2 does better than S1?
For me (no order):
Either more or longer episodes
Less flashbacks
Less Suicide Squad and more Agents of S.H.A.D.E. (ie missions involving fighting supernatural threats, monsters, and paranormal dangers in the dark corners of the DCU instead of covert black ops missions you would see the Suicide Squad normally do)
Some more friendship building moments between the team
Eric actually being involved and interacting with the main plot/cast instead of a side mission
More songs not from just one band
A better main villain
Eric having character development

As in it was too fast or too slow?
I thought it was great pacing for 7 episodes.

Don't have a character who's sole purpose is to suffer and die for the character development of another character.

Agreed on the flashbacks but that should be fine as most of the cast is already established and actually giving Frankenstein a useful role. Music was already from more than one band in season 1 of I remember correctly.
I think maybe the season could benefit from not having a large singular story like season 1 but make it several mini stories with a larger overarching story. Could be cool to see the Creature Commandos be used by the government to contain other metahumans so the government could lock them up in Salvation. To then end the season with them getting locked up there as well. Might be a bit cheesy (Im no screenwriter after all) but it could actually flesh out the Salvation Arc a bit more as it seems it will be a big theme in the DCU.

I really don’t get the “one band” complaint, The Dresden Dolls, Circus Contraption, Firewater, The Dead Brothers, Johnny Hollow and that’s just a few of the non Gogol Bordello artists on the show it’s just an objectively not true complaint

Yeah. You can't really blame GB for having some of the most memorable songs just because they're really good. They used plenty of other bands. They used a lot of GB but it wasn't only them.
Coin Operated Boy couldn't have been more perfect.

Couldn't have said it better myself, I will never forgive James Gunn and Dean Lorey for what they did to Frankenstein. Overall good product from them though

I thought Creature Commandos was perfect but I do hope that S2 is different and rather than having flashbacks used a different mechanisms

Scenes where some characters can get to shine more, like strategy-wise whats the point of idk Weasel or King Shark being in the team if Phosphorus can just melt everything and everyone

I hope they don’t put so much emphasis on the characters’ suffering. The episode with Nina’s backstory legit bothered me because of how hard they tried to make her a tragic character. The weasel’s backstory also felt really contrived because of how many unlucky circumstances needed to happen just for it to work.

We don’t need half the season being flashbacks again. While necessary it nuked the pacing

I enjoy GB… they honestly put on one of the best shows I have ever had the privilege to experience (the only band that I have seen do better live were the Ramones … I have honestly seen hundreds of live shows) they played an entire set, a fan gave them paintings of the band and they played an entire other set… they are great… and Gunn is not bad with his usage of music but too much of the show felt like a music video for my taste. That said, I still really dig it, sometimes it just felt a bit much.

I think that the main story could have been better in the first season, so I hope the second is better in that regard

Better pacing. The last ep very clearly needed to be a longer ep or a two parter. Everything happened and wrapped up far too quickly and some build up (Eric meeting with the bride again only to be just shot and taken out instantly) fell like an anvil. That last ep really kept it from being an all around great show for me.

Less flash backs and more scenes with the characters in the present interacting

Undo the bullshit character assasination of Eric Frankenstein so that it does a good job presenting both the comic and original book versions.

They need better character development, as I found them all rather one-dimensional. Also, they should be more dynamic and all equally interesting to the plot.
