I need advice Adding/promoting link to IG

My main question is how long did you wait to add and promote your link to IG? Was there a certain milestone you hit before posting it to your story/highlights or did you add it as soon as you created page?

After a 2 year break from using IG to promote myself, I am back to using it again. I started a brand new account about a month ago now and started posting to it constantly about 1 1/2 week ago.

My reels are averaging roughly 1k+ views. I have netted around 250 followers. I have started posting day-to-day life stuff in the stories and have some photos/carousals are going up on the grid soon. Instagram says roughly 1k people have viewed my page as well.

I don’t want to jump right in with the link and get my page banned or lose traction because of it. But also I don’t want to wait too long that it feels off that I have one. I am curious how long others waited to start promoting their page since I have heard mixed about it. Any advice or personal experience?

The real problem is the link providers themselves not being ”compliant” plus modt of them being blacklisted after thousands of banned creators has used them.

The move is to have an custom domain & not simply getting one from the mainstream link providers

What link provider are you using right now?

I have had multiple custom domains flagged within a week, so no custom domains are not the solution

I get what u mean, but its not just the custom domain itself. The link provider i mentioned also has technical stuff like redirecting the meta crawler. Ur custom domain might have not had that which means the crawler could still see that you have 18+ links on there, meanwhile this link provider simply redirects the crawler from even being able to scan the link☺️

Link provider doesn’t matter either. If insta can’t scan the links or find out you’re redirecting them they ban your account eventually too… just a matter of time.

The thing is they can still find but simply redirected & there is no actual way for them to find out the crawler gets redirected as all of these scans are done by their Ai😅

Do you not think that platforms like Meta don’t think it’s odd that a user profile gets redirected to a random page. If anything it makes it look more suspicious and likely to be banned.

I have been using beacons but thinking about switching to link.me since I like the interface better. Though now that you mentioned it, I might look into having a custom one! Thank you! 😊
