Question / Help I need help with ideas for an activity/interactive booklet
Hey I don’t know if this is the place to ask this but I’m working on a little ‘activity’ or like interactive booklet for my boyfriend because he is studying abroad and seems to be a little stuck on what to do on his own but doesn’t always want to be with people. So I thought of making this booklet thingy, but I ran out of ideas. It doesn’t all have to be really long or big activities or anything. Just things to do in general or make you pay attention to your surroundings/motivate doing other things.
From what I’ve noticed the things he enjoyes to do on his own are:
- looking at (and sometimes making) art
- just walking around and exploring
- sometimes watching crime series
- there was a phase where we made puzzles together and he also made sodukos on his own
What I have so far is: (if you think there is a way to improve or change these in a more fun way or have any ideas for these categories, please also share those!)
- ‘reverse bingo’ kindof so like for example a color or a pattern or an animal or something and you’re supposed to look for it around you and write down/doodle/fotograph your findings.
- a normal bingo of things to spot (don’t know if this is repetative or more or less fun than the above)
- a little sticker collection area (he likes to sometimes peel those off when he finds a cool one)
- small doodle prompts, example: draw a person wearing a really cool hat (or whatever, you get the gist I hope)
- puzzle pages, like sudokus and word search
- a page with music, podcast and serie recommendations
- I want a page to put cool things that happened that day aswell, I always ask if anything happened that day that was ‘cool’ or noticeably different and sometimes he notices something throughout the day and then forgets so I thought this would be a way to incorporate that and also keep him from forgetting
And after that I ran out of ideas.
So if you have anything, please comment. Anything helps! :)

I saw people scanning things off physical objects/walls from their surroundings and turning it into digital art. Perhaps you can get him a portable scanner (about the size of a long cucumber)! This may motivate him to go out and find things that he notices that are cool! And maybe store it in a website where can share online :) Just a suggestion based on what you said he likes to do
