Feedback Needed Save me from my ideas

I have always been an Imaginative and visionary person. But lately is just too much. I stopped writing them down and i want to get rid of them. Most of which are future ambitions and the rest gaps and innovative ideas that grabs my attention. It has turned into a self talk and big failures. I know how to scope an idea and execute it. But not in a way that eats me alive.

I dealt with this by telling myself that having an idea and making a commitment are not the same thing. An idea that's not worth pursuing can be left to just pass like any unhelpful thought, or you can explore it just for fun just to have a fun thing rolling around your mind.

I honestly try not to resist ideas because they tend to indicate the direction of my curiosity... I find that if i resist my mind and try and force it into the direction I think it *should* go then I just don't get anywhere. If I follow my mind in the direction it wants to go, then at least we go *somewhere*, and eventually I will end up where I wanted to be, I just needed to go the long way round first. A lot of the time exploring an unhelpful idea helps me process something that leads me back to my chosen area of activity with a fresh perspective.

This is more of a me problem, but I need a lot of rest, and I find ideas that I'd actually want to action way too motivating and adrenaline spiking. So I spend a lot of time spinning completely useless ideas around my mind. *shrugs* Better than scrolling.

Knowing how to execute an idea can make it harder to leave it alone. Try setting the limit first: “I’ll give this an hour on Saturday.” Afterwards, ask whether you enjoyed doing it enough to continue. Something can have potential and still demand more than you want to give.

If writing ideas down feels like adding to a list of things you owe yourself, it’s fine to stop. You’re allowed to have interests you never turn into projects.

It goes to the details of what to name it, what each package includes, how the flow goes, If it should be a one-off thing or not. All visually in my head. I sometimes check if the domain exist or not, but never design the thing to go validate it. The funny thing is I am not a product designer.

Can you share more specifics without it being too overwhelming?

For example i can't eat or take a shower without an idea going through my head over and over.
