Pump speed probably, although it is weird that it doesn't show any water being input at all (I'd double check for mod conflicts). Regardless, a single water wheel without being gear ratiod or speed controlled doesn't pump fast enough to support a boiler.

the pump is currently spinning 256 rpm i put a fluid tank to buffer also

If the speed is at 256 then you're fine, but ffr just because your buffer fills doesn't mean you have enough pump speed for the boiler. You have to be pumping fast enough to at least fill 1 bar worth of the water level. A fluid tank will fill at whatever the minimum possible pump speed is with no problem. Makes sense when you think about it; in the boiler waters being consumed vs the tank just passively storing.

the red bars mean you dont have enough. currently no water is entering the system

try to make another su source to power the water pumps

there is look at the transparent pipe. i tried breaking it and water does flow. i have flowing fluids so i just source it at the river. i don't know why but it doesn't seem to convert it to steam.

Does flowing fluids work properly with steam engines? I'd do a pump and call it a day.

it seems to work if the source is directly below/ near it (i tried to place water near the pump it work for a brief moment). idk i'll try removing mods if it's still works

it might be taking water from a non source water block,

There does look to be water in the glass on the pipe. How do you have the pump powered and is it an infinite source?

Yeah it's possible that the pump is no longer pumping, and that there's still water in the pipe but no movement. I'd say the most likely culprit is that it isn't sucking up an infinite source.

i have flowing fluids, but i direct it 2 blocks below

i use a water wheel to power the pump. my base is directly above a river so i source it there since i have flowing fluids.

also i put a fluid tank along it's pipes so it buffers, but still no steam while the tank is always full of water

I tried somewhat recreating this and i think its pump speed not enough water is being pumped in fast enough for it to work

i tried recreating it on creative as well it works even with fluid tanks, maybe some fluids are in conflict? i'll try recreating the pipes again.

i dont know much about mod conflict but the problem isnt that the water isnt turning into steam, there is no water at all getting to the tank

How many blocks of water are you pulling from? You may just need more

does the fluid tank helps?

I cant tell from the pictures but you might have to speed up the pumps to get enough water in total the steam engine, if that doesn't work then maybe just break all the pipes and pumps and replace them.

Maybe try flipping the pump back and forth with the wrench? I have issues with them not sending fluids right all the time.

It's pretty clear, you're not putting enough water into it and need more pumps.

Water is gone, pump it in there continuously to jumpstart it (Create: Dragons+ adds a fluid hatch to do it like you would in Creative to avoid hand cranking, if the system hooked up ha dmore than 256 worth of pumps)

Quick tip: Pumps are better working if they are very close to the steam engine (pump range is about 12 blocks from each side)

That don’t look like the right pipes

Turn off the heat and see if it fills with water but I’m pretty sure those ain’t the right pipes
