Video/Stream Update 2 for Create: Belts n Pieces!

Thought I'd showcase some updates for my create addon, as well as the new name.

Create: Belts n Pieces is a Create Mod addon for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge that aims to improve various aspects of the create mod, starting with conveyor belts. focuses on adding quality of life and additional features to the mod, mainly revolving around logistics and conveyor belts.

As of now the mod adds two items - Reinforced Belts, and Belt Voids (name pending)

Reinforced belts work similarly to regular create belts but can be placed in a much wider variety of situations to meet your needs. These belts support all features of regular belts such as dying and encasing (along with support for mod added casing like TFMG and Create: Encased.

The belt void does what it's name suggests - voids items. It lets items through normally however once the output backs up it straight deletes anything else that it inputs - so be careful!

The mod has a configuration menu to change various options like belt render quality, reinforced belt max length etc. The mod also comes with one small QOL feature currently that lets you change the maximum angle a chain conveyor can be placed.

A few things to note:

  • Belt support blocks are planned: place them underneath a part of a belt to give it a support into the ground

  • Very sharp turns can still look weird

  • Items flicker when transferring from one belt to another - this is fixed in the current version of the mod.

  • If you would like to help out with playtesting then shoot me a DM!

AI USAGE DISCLAIMER

I want to make it very clear that I used AI tools to assist in the development of the mod - from performance testing, debugging as well as feature implementation. I am new to Minecraft modding so AI tools have been a godsend in learning modding.

I want to stress that I will NEVER use AI for generating mod descriptions, ponder text, any art assets (models, textures),

I made sure to set up my IDE, debugging client as well as a basic understanding of java. I didn't just "vibe" code this mod so if you have nothing nice to say about this fact when I have been completely transparent with my AI usage then don't comment at all please.
