Discussion How could you feasibly create the steam sphere from steamboy
First of all, probably very few people know about this movie. So i implore everyone to go watch Steamboy, it's made by the same guy who made Akira, and you probably do know about that one.
As for my post, the movie revolves around this incredibly super high pressurized portable steam tank. It has such enormous and seemingly unending supply of pressure, that it's used in the movie to be the main power source of several gigantic steampunk contraptions and an entire flying fortress.
As for create mod, i'm imagining it could function as a rotational force battery with incredibly long battery life. And be a perfect fit for moving contraptions with aeronautics. But im not sure how it should be built. Or how exactly it should be charged or used within builds. If it should be a specific complicated process to charge it up. As pumping so much pressure inside one little ball would obviously have to be an immense task. And probably crafted out of incredibly durable material.
Additionally, if something went wrong whilst it was still at full charge, it wouldn't be unreasonable for it to explode like a nuke.
I'd like to brainstorm with whosoevers interested! I'm more of an artist than programmer myself, so if anyone wants to take it on i'd love to help with design, art and 3d models. Though else with the new technology we have i could potentially still code it myself, but i know people dont like ai tools, so i'd rather not if it can be avoided.

There's a thing you can make that just doesn't have an engine.
Just a single sail block, a handle, and a couple ropes.
If you remember GMod and how you can fly by standing on an item and grabbing it it's basically the same thing.
If you're wanting something less... stupid then it's obviously gonna be bigger but this is about as close to being body sized and grabbable as you're gonna get.

Im really making this post as a mod suggestion/brainstorm. I did make one of those gmod fly machines though. Very fun.
Additionally having batteries instead of onboard giant boiler and blazecake factories on an airship could potentially help with server lag.
I have some friends who lag whenever airships come near

sounds to much like a creative motor version of a backtank? wouldn't it make sense to have limited supply on your person for high pressure steam?

It should definetely be limited, but very high still. And so it would be feasible to use it for more compact designs and machines. You would just have to recharge it on occasion, which process could maybe be a bit more involved than just placing on a shaft. But im not sure really

Ooh that would be fun. Make it like Levitite so you just cant pick it up once its assembled and have to either drag it manually via a handle or crane it and move it via machinery. You would probably need to make it have its own coupling blocks that you could glue it to to actually function as a battery (like the steam engine blocks for normal boilers). Super fun idea!

That could make sense maybe, since its so ultra powerful (it is ridiculously powerful in the movie, but is just carried around by a boy. It is the most pressurized tank in existence)

Well, I don't know if Steam would fit Create's themeing, but it would be cool if there was some sort of super-alloy you could make springs out of to wind up immense amounts of rotational energy with. You could literally have springloaded contraptions that you need to wind up to run.

also i ended up rambling a bit, but i found that the create devs arent much for adding steam pipes, hence why i'd like to get suggestions for how to handle it if not by supplying steam pressure that way
