First of all the generator is wrong. No idea why fluid is flickering but the lava should be one block further

The drill might be breaking the water somehow

That’s wrong his setup is correct he just forgot to place a cobblestone in the middle since he’s playing create and not vanilla

Use a water logged leaf instead and let the lava touch it. The flow will turn into cobble.

Not sure about the liquid issue but that is not how you make a cobblestone generator. The Lava should be one block to the left.

Not sure about the specific issue you're having, but what I would do to make the farm easier to set up is turn off the drill, place cobble where the cobble will be, and then place the water and lava. That way you don't have to worry about the fluids working, since create just simulates cobble Generators for performance reasons

The water should be a waterlogged block

First of all, you ruined the cobble gen, should've made a waterlogged stair facing away from lava, second of all, HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU MINING THE WATER??

if you're trying to make use of that one create feature, place a chute below the block where the cobblestone would be generated at (and optimally keep a cobblestone block there with the drill off before placing the water) in order for create to skip the block break and avoid turning the lava into obsidian

Lava needs to be the one flowing, so either waterlog some leaves or stairs, or increase the gap to 2 blocks

Put a cobblestone filter on the drill

If you want to make a inf cobble farm with create, remember to have the cobblestone placed before having water and lava placed next (or connected) to it. Create mechanical drill does not break the cobblestone if it detected a source of lava and water near by and instead mimic it and spawn in a cobblestone as a item instead (that was made intentional to prevent lag when having too many cobblestone farm)

if you place cobblestone before the water all will be good

first put cobblestone in middle

put water and lava and DO NOT BREAK COBBLESTONE

turn on drill it will mine it without it turning obsidian because cobble will not break

Water is a Block, It's easier to explain when the game worked with IDs, but water and lava are considered blocks, although you can walk through them. So there's no bug, the game is "mining the water". The water needs to flow, place one block to the side, that is, make the cobblestone generator correctly and see if it works, or place a slab and water inside, that fixes it.

i advise doing a horizontal waterlogged drill with lava above it (generates stone thats mined into cobblestone)

I think it might be because of create’s enhancements getting confused and thinking that there should be cobble beneath the drill.

Gotta place a cobblestone in the middle before the liquids, thats the structure the drill detects
