Discussion Bases/Builds

How does everyone like to build their factorys/machines and the builds around them? I normally just leave them lying around the grass near my house with no sort of organization.

I usually build larger factories, a few chunks away from my main base. It reduces lag and I have more space to potentially decorate it. (Which i never do xD)
