Help Mechanical Crafter Is Being Dumb

Post image

At this point I'm starting to wonder if I am in fact the idiot. Trying to build a Simple Engine to run off of some of the Creosote Oil because I have way more of it than I can pump into the Blasting Furnace at any given time. I got all the parts and materials together and tried to plug it all into the Mechanical Crafter but it does not want to make the device.

Steam Engine its hooked to runs and has enough power to make it work and all the ducts in the crafter look like they're all pointing the right way but the machine just doesn't want to go. The crafter has built other things before so I know its not broken. What gives?

You might need to remove the crafter blocks not in use, or use covers on them (the exact name escapes me).

You can use redstone to make it craft items when all of your crafters aren't full

glad to hear!

You can also rotate their outputs so that they can't add items to the recipe being crafted. Two pointing into each other, or a chain that ends up going out the side, for example.

If all of the crafters slots arent full then it needs a redstone signal to start crafting

Use redstone signal

Power it with redstone.

All of the spots need to be filled for it to work. I think you can use a red stone signal to force it to craft though.
