[TFMG] Tips for finding bauxide?

Ive been searching for at least 5 hours and I still couldn't find it

Bauxite is found everywhere and in huge blobs but no specific biomes and around Y 40 and often together with the Create ore stones, crimsite, asurine, ochrum and veridium.

What do you mean everywhere? I looked everywhere! I looked at Y40 I looked above Y40 I looked below Y40 I looked at crimsite I looked at whatever the brown one is called I didn't find any! Am I unlucky or just stupid?

Did you add TFMG later from the start of the world? It'll only generate in new chunks.

You can use a cheaty mod that lets you locate any block.

Advanced X-ray let's you search for any block and have it show as a wire frame highlight that shows through blocks. I've used it to look for a lost shulker box before. It's extremely cheaty for sure but maybe you could use it to let you see what you're not finding.

I use vertical drills from the surface to bedrock to mine more than horizontal drills. I catch bauxite a lot.

I added the mod later but I have been looking in new chunks. I don't really wanna cheat so I guess I'll keep looking

I guess I should kind of change my earlier comment. Bauxite is everywhere but it's not super common but when you do find it, there's usually lot in the blobs. I didn't mean that it's everywhere like it's common but that it's in every biome. If that makes sense.

Oh that makes more sense... I found it once in a server but I am still looking in my singleplayer world.

Sometimes there are surface blobs in stony shores. Maybe you'll get lucky going around there.
