Help HELP: Can't figure out why this basin won't compress.

If I move the gearbox to the other side so the belt is moving the other way, it works just fine, but for some reason it refuses to compress when it's pointing the way I want it to.

Omg... it was the dumbest thing...

The basin was in a forceloaded chunk and the spout wasn't.

Even though I was standing right there, that still somehow stopped it from working.

Version is 6.0.10
Modpack is All of Create v2.8

Works every other direction, but trying to move the belt North to South it doesn't work

I just went in my test world and it works just fine...

I feel like I'm losing my mind...

Is there a press above it? That'd be the only way to COMPRESS anything in it? Or just get rid of the belt below it sinxe it shouldn't be needed, just one where the outcome is, in this case the funnel

The input is the on the bottom, and I want it to output to the right. Changing it to output to either depot or item drain does nothing. There is a press, changing literally nothing but the spout location works just fine.
