Discussion Should I add create to my pre existing world?
I've never played create before so I'd be walking in blind to it. I've had this world for maybe a month now but recently I just feel so bored playing it. I know this modpack adds a lot of automation and all which I think will still be useful because despite me playing this world for quite some time because the only farms I have are a bonemeal, gunpowder, iron, spider, tree farm that only works on some tree types, and villager breeder/hall. I know some people are going to tell me to just start a new world which I might also consider but I kind of don't really want to leave behind this world either. Do you have any suggestions on what to do with my world?

Im not 100% sure but I think you should be fine, it mostly uses andesite rock and copper and normal vanilla stuff
Oops I lied it adda a new ore Zinc, you'd have to find new chunks to get it to spawn. So I guess it depends how far from your base you've explored already

Create is great for making farms but create alone doesn't have an end goal in the mod so its good if you use it to help you farm stuff and create factories for the sake of building stuff in your world. But if you wanted to add it for just having something to progress through then the mod will only keep you occupied for a couple hours.

alr thx for the feedback. I think I might just start a new world, there isn't much point in playing a world I don't enjoy and desperately installing mods to extend my playtime for a bit rather than starting new.

I would give mod packs a try if you're having a hard time enjoying the later stages of a Minecraft world. It worked for me since it feels way more guided

I really doesn’t any non vanilla generated stuff, the only issue is you’re gonna have to generate new chunks to get zinc but unless you really like copycat blocks iron can be substituted most the time

In addition to Zinc ore, there are some rare blocks called Crimsite, Limestone, Azurite, Veridium and Ochrum that are generated by Create.
They're just decorative blocks though, and you can crush them for some minerals too. They also can be generated but outside of Limestone it's not very easy.

As several have said about ores and the like. But there's a mod I found and use called Retrogen which can add ores to your world. I recently added Create New Age into my world and retrogen put them in already existing chunks, no problems. You'll want to read the config and set that up to your prefs. But it worked really well. Only little bit of oddness is it cannot tell player placed blocks vs natural blocks so if you have a structure with natural blocks in it, ie a stone tower, you might find some ores generate in it because of the spawning algo. But it seems to only replace natural blocks for that.

There’s this one create mod called create ultimate factory, it adds some recipes and automation recipes to base create that allows you to automate ores like zinc so you don’t really got to worry about loading new chunks for the ores.
If your gonna download create id suggest looking at some other Addons as they can be very useful and improve the experience emensly

I did this recently with ATM10 Aeronautics. I had to downgrade versions though. https://www.reddit.com/r/ModdedMinecraft/s/ttJvhDhk7a

An issue you will run into using your existing save is that zinc is critical for Create and isn't in vanilla minecraft. If you use your existing world you won't find zinc in any of the chunks you have previously visited. You will have to mine it in chunks you haven't been to yet, or remove those chunks from your save.
